Publix Pizza Being Discontinued
Dear Publix Team,
I am writing today as a heartbroken customer.
My fiancé and I have spent years on a quest to find a frozen pizza that didn’t leave us thinking, “Well, I guess it was edible.” We tried brand after brand, endured countless disappointing crusts, questionable sauces, and cheese that seemed to have given up on life. Then we found your Publix frozen pizzas—specifically the Hot Honey Pepperoni and Buffalo Chicken varieties.
They weren’t just frozen pizzas. They became a weekly tradition. We genuinely looked forward to pizza night because we knew exactly what was waiting for us in the freezer.
When the Hot Honey Pepperoni started disappearing from the shelves, we convinced ourselves it was just a stocking issue. We began checking on different days of the week like amateur pizza detectives. Today, when we couldn’t find either pizza, we finally asked an employee and learned the devastating truth: Publix is discontinuing all Publix-brand frozen pizzas.
Respectfully, who approved this?
What makes this even harder is that we weren’t given any warning. No farewell tour. No “last chance to stock up.” No opportunity to fill our freezer with enough Buffalo Chicken pizzas to survive the transition.
I understand products come and go, but I wanted your team to know that these pizzas had loyal fans. We are genuinely disappointed to see them go, and if there is any chance of reconsidering this decision—or at the very least bringing back the Hot Honey Pepperoni and Buffalo Chicken varieties—we would be first in line.
Please pass along our condolences to whoever had to make this announcement. It’s a difficult time for our household.
Sincerely,
Two Very Disappointed Pizza Lovers
