Corner Booth Pub Style Pizza

I had never heard of this brand before but it was on sale for $5.50 and looked interesting. It’s really really good. Nice crust and sauce. Big pieces of sausage and the peppers bring some heat to it. This has quickly moved up to the top of my favorite frozen pizzas. Definitely trying some other flavors next time. The instructions said 15-18 minutes and I stopped it at 15. Maybe shave off a minute next time.

Anyone else remember these Digiorno Tuscan style chicken pizzas? I used to love them but apparently they don’t make them anymore.

I looked up why and there were issues with plastic and glass shards in some of the spinach from a specific provider. This may have contributed to the discontinuation because there were massive recalls. I also just don’t think it was that popular of a flavor.

Freshetta not cooking through

Freshetta Hawaiian has always been my favorite frozen pizza but my oven in my new place always leaves the dough under the cheese like totally raw. Does anyone know if there’s a trick? I’ve seen low on the rack, low temp and longer time, high temp and very short time, use a pizza stone, don’t use a pizza stone. Any advice?

EDIT: I finally found someone describe it as a “gum line” as apparently the technical term, but I can’t find any info on fixing that for a frozen pizza, just from scratch mostly

Red Baron Crunch-Time Pizzeria style Crust

I told myself I would buy this if it ever was under four dollars. Today was my day! The crust definitely had a crunch. No chewiness like I see in Lean Cuisine and similar low calorie pizzas. Glad I tried, but I have better pizza options for the future.

Edit: to clarify, it is a microwave-only pizza. They don’t give instructions for anything else. I microwaved for 5.5 minutes in my 900 watt microwave. The crisper tray did what it was supposed to do!

It’s also 3 servings per pizza, 400 Cal, 43 g carbs, 16 g protein per serving. Only seen it at ShopRite, near the individual pizzas.

Massa Italian sausage Sicilian style pizza

A couple grocers in my area usually have some sort of half price frozen pizza deal for some brand. Occasionally it'll be for one of the fancy ones. Purchased on sald from Haggens south of Seattle for $8.50 (reg $16). This place is a nicer grocer and more like Whole Foods prices.

Let it thaw for several minutes before putting into a preheated oven.

Right off you notice the crust. It's light and airy inside but distinctly crisp on the outside. The sausage is good, still juicy and big enough to stand out in a bite. Cheese was solid but nothing wow. Sauce is bright and has pecorino romano in it, which you can pick out the sauce has a little sharpness to it.

I would buy again on sale for $8.50 but at $16 I'd probably get a local place's carryout for similar or a little more. It is an above average frozen pizza and worth catching on sale.

Motor City 3 Meat

I added mushrooms, green peppers and some extra cheese. I'd had the pepperoni a year or so ago, and was not blown away. I did like this one better, but overall I would rate it a 6/10 as I did not care much for the overly doughy crust in the middle.

Tree Tavern Cheese Pizza

I cooked per instructions, drizzling on extra virgin olive oil before baking directly on oven rack. Very good flavor and surprisingly good crust. 8.6/10

Red Baron Hawaiian Pizza

Found in Canada. I never see them in the states. Honestly the crust tastes different. It’s not bad but I prefer the rising crust in the US pizza. Sauce is still good though. Toppings were good too.
7/10.

New Deliciousness from Connie's

Picked up these new Woodfired Crust Connie's today. I made the Spicy Sausage one when I got home. They nailed the crispy crust like you'd get in a wood oven. A little bit thicker than a regular Connie's with a similar amount of toppings and sauce, so I do prefer the ratio of the original ones. Still one of the best frozen pizzas I've ever tried. 8.5/10 will be buying again.

Current go-to frozen pizza. Better goods margherita. Finished with a shake of parm, I drizzle of hot honey, and a drizzle of balsamic.

Loopini 0/10, no redeeming qualities

Been looking for something to replace Banza pizza since I can’t find it at my local stores anymore… this was not it.

What happened to Digiorno pizza?

Their Supreme pizza has been our go to pizza for over 20 years. We even stopped getting takeout pizza because we loved DiGiorno's more. It was a saucy, flavorful pizza. Crust so good I'd saved the ends for last to savor because I loved their bread.

Maybe about 6-7 years ago they changed. Whenever they went from the easy open plastic to the fully sealed plastic wrapping. The pizza got a little smaller. The cheese got thinner. Pizza got drier with hardly any sauce. The crust is now very bland and tastes completely different from the old crust. I throw my ends in the trash.

I am currently eating my last ever in life slice of DiGiorno's because it is so bad I will never buy it again. It was bad before but this current Pizza I'm eating is horrific. It is the last straw. I enjoy the pizzas I make with some sauce on naan bread better than this. I'm going to try some of the pizza dough from Trader Joe's and see what I come up with

Why are companies ruining their pizzas? That is rhetorical question because obviously they're doing it to cut corners because as always, it's money over quality. But how expensive is some tomato sauce? And some seasonings.

Culinary’s Circle Rising Crust Italian Sausage

Added sliced pepperoni , mozzarella and Italian seasonings. Was delicious. Bonus I work at a grocery store that sells these and got it for $4.99
