RED BARON - BRICK OVEN - PEPPERONI & JALEPENO

Let me start by saying I HATE RED BARON

I only purchased this because some people in this sub have claimed the brick oven style to be particularly good, and I figured sure brick oven is usually akin to a higher standard so I'll give it a shot, despite finding all previous red baron pizzas I have purchased to be unfinishable.

I cooked this per instructions, except that I put it in slightly early before the oven was preheated, and at the end did 2 minutes of broil on high because of the extra toppings I put on from our diy pizza night a few days prior. So if anything the extra pepperoni and peppers I put on made it better...

Okay now the REVIEW!

Pizza was in fact better than other red barons I have had... slightly. Im having trouble putting it into words but the bread and sauce and cheese still feel particularly frozen pizza-ey. The dough is always a dead giveaway on a bad frozen pizza, however the dough on this wasn't quite as bad as I remember other red baron pizzas, but marginally, just enough that I'm able to not be slightly repulsed by the pizza. So with that said this pizza has made it slightly over the edible line and landed ittself a firm 5/10 overall

It was also apparent that the cheese and peppers were not of good quality either. And the crust got really crunchy around the edges like a jacks pizza does, but its much thicker than a jacks so its not pleasant.

My wife specifically notes the cheese taste not so great, like frozen cheese.

The extra toppings I put on may have carried the pizza a bit. Hard to say for certain. It may have been a lot more bland without those extra flavors on there, possibly could have taken it into bad territory.

With that said though, the standout feature of this pizza was the price of $3.50 on sale. Red baron frequently goes on sale for dirt cheap which is why ive gotten them so often in the past and been disappointed. But considering this pizza is actually kind of edible, for $3.50 its hard to go wrong. Feeds 1 to 2 people.

Would buy again for the same sale price.

Confusion

Pretty sure I have eczema. I think i had it when I was a kid. Im 27 and it came back on my hand.

My hands get really dry ever winter to the point that I was applying cera-ve semi-regularly, but this year it has persisted into the summer.

I also did a lot of car work this past winter (LS cam swap 😎) and used a lot of various chemicals like brake clean and engine degreaser enough thaf I actually started buying nitrile gloves to wear to protect my hands.

Me left hand on the pinky side got bad first. It got really dry and a deep Crack in it. I had been occasionally putting cera-ve on it. I got O'Keefe's working hands cream and it healed up the Crack but it seems like that is when the real issues started (shoot... am I allergic to okeeffe's??)

Pussy little clear and white dots. Around the edges of the red i can see little clear dots under the skin its triggering my trypophobia to look at. So I think its safe to diagnose it as eczema.

It appeared to spread a bit. I have a larger circular area on the other side of my hand that is more flakey than noduley like the other side. It has mostly cleared up with lotion, less red than before. I am however seeing more nodules on places like im between my fingers.

I also have some nodules and stuff on my other hand not, not nearly as bad but its there. There's one semi-circle line of nodules on the side of my knuckles on my pointer and another red circular is rash area.

I also have a rash, aka not pussy, on my belly that seems to be on the healing end not. It was at one point probably the most itchy. Its not very itchy anymore but I can still see the rash/red dots faintly.

After the working hands cream, I got anti itch eczema cream and id use that occasionally. I put it on my belly a lot but my hands too.

My main focus is on my main area now since its the most chewed up. I started applying polysporin as of yesterday to the main area as it almost began to seem slightly infected, figured it wouldnt harm it. I bought gold bond eczcema relief which I am using now, and I slept with Vaseline covering the bad hand last night. Plan to continue that.

Thoughts and suggestions? Idk if I should post pics here.

Hoping this heals up and goes away semi-permately. Im not really sure what to expect next. Hoping just posting all of this will maybe spark some gears in the more knowledgeable people here and they can chime in with helpful advice.

Horrible experience (help)

Not my first time car camping but by FAR the worst.

First time camping in the new car. My wife and I and the dog in a small car, 1989 corolla wagon. We had a full sized air mattress in the back it wasn't the worst setup theoretically plenty of space to sleep.

I brought my milwuakee fan, which was fantastic last time I camped in my truck on a hot night near the coast just like this. Slept great all night with it on low and it was still on when i woke up. It was not enough this time.

We had it on high and slept for 2 hours before it died and couldn't get back to sleep due to the immense heat and sweat.

We forgot to bring any sort of bug nets so i rolled down the windows as much as I could and put pillow cases over them but there wasn't enough airflow. I'd turn on ac for a few minutes at a time but didn't want to keep it running due to risks of co poisoning.

It was actually quite nice outside every time I put my head out the window it was cool, but inside the car it was unbearable.

What's your best tips for staying cool? Do I just need some nets over my windows or are there any specific fans or products you swear by? I also have a giant rear hatch since it's a wagon so is there any cheap or diy ways I can utilize it?

Imo's frozen pizza (10/10)

God it's so incredibly good. By far the best frozen pizza I've ever had. I moved away from Missouri and I'm hoping they start stocking it nationally.

I even had some shipped in on dry ice to share with my friends at our halloween party and it was a hit with everyone.

I have heard they had it or a variation of it nationwide at Aldi earlier this year? Unfortunately I missed it!

As far as frozen pizza's go, it's going to be hard to find anything at all that will top IMO's. If you have it in stores, count yourself lucky!

THE SQUARE BEYOND COMPARE BABY!
