The first MC pizza I got, when they first came out, was a revelation. I never knew a frozen pizza could be so good. The crust completely filled the pan and was pressed in, so you got those wonderful crispy outside edges on all four sides. That was years ago, and I've had several since then, and not one has ever been as good as that first one. And unfortunately, this latest one continues that tradition. But it's not all bad. In fact, there's still a lot to like. The toppings are good quality and plentiful (I added mushrooms). The sauce is flavorful without being overpowering and there's enough to match the thick crust so things don't get dry. The crust is the most important part here, and it has a nice bready flavor without being too dry, hard, or sweet, and it's filling without being too dense. The problem, is, there isn't enough of it to fill the pan, so you only get nice crisp sides on 2 sides at the most. Still, flavor wise, this is still one of the better frozen pizzas on the market, it's just not as good as it could be (or used to be). Final score 7/10.
I just tried this for the first time and made a pretty basic sandwich just to try it out. It's pretty good, and nice to have a different option than the usual black forest and honey baked hams that have been done to death by everybody. The rosemary flavor is subtle, but there. I also appreciate the fact that it isn't super salty and processed tasting and that the sodium is only 430 mg for two slices. I'll definitely be adding this to my rotation.
This was really good. Edited to add ingredients: lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, and chopped turkey bacon
The cheese was grilled, not the sandwich. Made with Paneer Indian Style Cheese from Trader Joe's, with turkey bacon, mayo, mustard, tomatoes, lettuce, and toasted Franz bread.
So, Thursday night, I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, which sometimes happens. Since it's been hot here, I've been sleeping on top of the covers. Anyway, when I got back in bed, I flopped my feet up onto the bed WITH MY SLIPPERS STILL ON! This was a major failure of procedure here and I honestly, I don't remember EVER doing this before. I think it was just a combination of being half asleep, and sleeping on top of the covers making it easier to do this by accident. It's been bugging me ever since, but tomorrow's laundry day, and I'll change my sheets and slippers, so it will all be good.
This was $3.50 at Winco for 10 oz and has 400 calories, 910 mg of sodium, and 17g of fat. I'll give them credit for keeping the sodium under 1000 mg, that's nice. The sauce is tomatoey, creamy and spicy in equal amounts, and does the job but is nothing really amazing. I got 3 big hunks of chicken and 7 slices of sausage, which is actually a decent amount of meat for a dinner this size. The chicken chunks were so large, I cut them in half to make them go even farther. The sausage is decent but the chicken is a bit dry and bland. The noodles are some kind of spiral similar to rotini and taste fine. However, there were barely enough of them for the amount of sauce and meat, which is almost the opposite of what you'd expect for this kind of meal. Overall, decent, but needs more noodles to be more properly balanced and satisfying. 6/10.
My lunch today. With provolone, pesto, and mayo, on a Walmart bakery ciabatta. It's been a while. Nice to have it back in the rotation!
I had to fake a center bun out of a plain bread slice. Still delicious!
Yeah, I know it's supposed to be a beginner event, but there's always enough people that he'd go down pretty fast. That would at least be a chance to add some much needed excitement to the event when he appears. Also, Bigfoot needs to be a guaranteed 4 star drop. And on that note, have him replace the other party crashers (or also make them 4 star drops too). They're worthless as is.
Made with mayo, mustard, and the last of my pre outbreak lettuce. It was down to the heart, and difficult to peel leaves off, so I chopped it up.
I tried to separate the turkey slices but they wanted to tear, so I just flopped the stack of them on there. Bagel is from Berstein's. Lettuce was from before the outbreak, and it's half gone already, so I'm still using it. This was rediculousley messy, but also, rediculousley delicious!
In continuing my exploration of classic British sandwiches, today I tried a cucumber sandwich. My cream cheese turned out to be expired, so I just used ranch. I also added a slice of provolone and some onions, because I didn't figure they could hurt. Also, I left the crust on, because I'm a crust on kind of guy. Honestly, unlike yesterday's sad fish stick and butter thing, this actually ended up being a halfway acceptable sandwich. In fact, on days like today when it's 1000 degrees out, it's even kind of cool and refreshing. I'm going to have to get some new cream cheese and try it again.
These were $2.33 at Walmart. At 12 oz, it's a decent portion, but still not hugely so. It has 540 calories, 36g of fat, and 1290 mg of sodium. This is about as basic as it gets-just two meat patties and mashed potatoes with gravy. The patties are ok, but nothing special. The potatoes are a bit watery and sort of dissolve into the gravy. I have no idea how they managed to get the fat so high, it doesn't taste like it anyway, as bland and watery as everything is. Overall, it's decent for the budget price but everything also just sort of tastes a bit cheap. Final score 6/10.
There's provolone there too but it's hard to see. Dogs are A & H.
So this is a British thing apparently, and I saw it in a video and decided to try it. It just consists of nothing but bread, butter, and fish sticks, and supposedly is a comfort food. Sadly, it's about as bland as expected. Having tried it once, I don't think it will be something I will make again in the future. The other items are a frozen cheese stick thing and raspberry filled donuts from Trader Joes.
That was a heck of a lot of grunt hunts. They are pretty glorious though. I especially like the way they waft around very peaceful-like. I put a chair up there so I can sit and watch them when I go afk. I used a double shot Dragon so I could one-shot the grunts, although the sneaky ones were difficult to get a vats lock on, so I had to manually aim with mixed results, and I got swarmed by ghouls many times. Many, many times. Oh well, I guess it was...maybe. At least these were guaranteed after doing a fixed number of challenges. Now back to the 4 star grind, ugh.
