Brisket on sourdough

Had to post this one as it’s one of the best sandwiches I have had in a very long time.
It’s slow cooked brisket on a toasted sourdough bloomer.
This was from a beachfront restaurant in Terrigal (Sydney Northern Beaches area).
When I go back, I’m going here for another one !

Made a Detroit Coney Melt. Would you eat this?

I got my hands on some more National Coney Island chilli and made a ‘Coney Melt’.

I’m not sure if this is a thing but basically I used coney chili, Cheddar cheese, and onions on Rye.

If I make it again, I’ll probably use American cheese instead of Cheddar. And I’d probably add some mustard too.

What do you think? Would you eat this?

You have heard of Chicken Caesar Salad, and Chicken Caesar Wraps; but have you ever heard of a Chicken Caesar Sandwich?

I love making sandwiches for my families daily lunches each morning before I go to work. I usually do the same-ish sandwich for us each week, but this week I experimented on a new one for my daughter who absolutely loves Caesar Salads. So I googled ideas for a Chicken Caesar Salad sandwich idea and saw Boarshead had a recipe for one. We gave it a go and my kid has loved it and asked for it all week. I think the trick was finding a good Artesian style bread for the sandwich to replace the croutons experience.

Note: the bread i used was Giant's (major grocery store in my region) Nature's Promise Sourdough Artesian Loaf (baked goods department, not bread aisle).

The build goes like this:

Bread

Shaved Parma cheese

Caesar Dressing

Lettuce

Boarshead EverRoast Chicken Breast (sandwich cut)

Caesar Dressing

Lettuce

Shaved Parma cheese

Bread

My 12 year old daughter highly recommends this sandwich!

Edit: spelling corrections...

Had to try the new local sub shop that opened

I’d give it an 8/10. Very tasty. The bread is made from scratch which is awesome but it could be baked longer. I got turkey, bacon, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, spinach, onion, oil and vinegar & honey mustard. Added salt and pepper and extra cheese at home 😂

A little recipe from "The Most Beautiful Bad Girl in Hollywood": The Evelyn Brent Sandwich

Evelyn Brent (born Mary Elizabeth Riggs; 1895 –1975) was a prominent American film and stage actress who achieved major stardom during the silent film era and successfully transitioned into early "talkies".

Known for her intense, sultry brunette looks and sharp features, fan magazines of the 1930s famously dubbed her "The Most Beautiful Bad Girl in Hollywood" for her definitive portrayal of smooth, hard-boiled vamps, nightclub singers, and gangster molls.

She was married three times. Her final marriage was to vaudeville star Harry Fox—the man widely credited with giving the "Foxtrot" dance its name—with whom she stayed until his death in 1959.

Turkey bacon proper

It’s not the same as the good fresh butcher house pork bacon from the Amish… but it does hit that craving as I continue down my get healthy road…

One more pastrami

Yesterday I did a post of my pastrami and pickles I’ve made but forgot to post about the mustard. Well here it is from today. Also are bread and butter pickles blasphemy with a pastrami sandwich, not on but accompanied with a fermented garlic dill pickle lol
