Boyfriend & I have a Pom puppy that’s 7 months old, been with us for 4 months now, and getting neutered in 2 weeks.

Since he was about 3 months old, he’s gotten into the habit of barking at my boyfriend. It’s now reached the point where he’ll bark at him if he gets up from where he’s sitting, or walks by his play pen/crate (unless he’s in a very deep sleep). Sometimes he’ll even bark at him for coughing or talking from another room.

At times, he’ll bring my bf a toy, and I assume that means he wants to play, but other times he simply runs up to him and barks. I’m unsure if he wants attention, or if he’s maybe resource guarding me. I am his main provider because I work from home, so I’m with him most of the day.

He’s crate trained, and we can’t upgrade him to sleeping outside of his crate because if my bf gets up to pee in the middle of the night, he’ll also wake up to bark at him and follow him to the washroom.

Any insight or help on this? I also want to be clear that my bf ignores him when he barks and doesn’t engage — we’ve also tried giving him treats when he doesn’t bark, etc.

I’m looking for an energetic and reliable assistant to follow me during the week and capture behind-the-scenes content as I build and promote my brand.

What you’ll do:

Film content using an iPhone.
Capture BTS moments, lifestyle footage, and promotional clips.
Help create Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts.
Follow creative direction while also spotting interesting moments to film.

Hello!

I have a 6 month old Pom and potty training was definitely a slow start, but he now pees and poos outside! YAY.

My only issue is that he still wakes up at 5:30-630am and needs to pee/poo. I live in an apartment building so getting dressed and taking him down is a lot of work for me. He will usually go right back to bed, but wondering if this is a potty issue or is it just because he doesn’t want to sleep anymore?

For context, he is crate trained, and gets frequent walks (15-30 minutes 3-4 times a day). Am I just not tiring him out enough during the day? Or is it that he is still working his way to being able to hold his bladder?

Anyone know what the usual jump from a lv 7 to lv8 would be? I know the salary ranges for both but curious what % is usually offered and if I can negotiate? I’m about 4K away from the starting lv8 band. Been in my role for 4 years and 10 at the bank.
