Advice for slope maze level? (Campaign 2, story 1, level 2)

How do I get the villagers to stop eating all my damn vegetables so I can pass this level?? The only level requirements are to build to stone road and have 65 veggies. Stone road is built, but I can’t reach the 65 veggies :/ I’ve built the max number of greenhouses (I think) that I can possibly fit in the tiny map (4) but they just eat all the veggies when they get harvested, even though I have plenty of eggs and rabbit meat they could just cook in the soup instead!

Successful dove nest!

A mourning dove made a nest on top of my garden gate trellis that has climbing roses growing on it. This is the third year a mourning dove has chosen to make a nest here, but the first that they’ve actually successfully raised babies! Photos were taken by my dad standing on a ladder and very zoomed in, so don’t worry, no one got close to the baby floofs! They are now less of “floofs” and almost ready to leave the nest!

Least shitty department to work in?

I was hired in May for seasonal fulfillment and have been working full time up until last week when hours got cut for everyone. As everyone here seems to know, fulfillment is a shitty job overall (we can NEVER get all the overdue orders caught up because we’re short staffed and can’t hire more people because of the low sales/lack of hours…) AND apparently they are now requiring fulfillment associates to get power equipment certified, which I do not feel safe doing, so I will be switching departments. I’m good at my job and management likes me and wants to keep me on past the summer for a part time position, but because I don’t feel comfortable driving a forklift, I have to switch departments. I was wondering if anyone here has suggestions for a department I could request to switch to? What’s the LEAST shitty departments in your opinion/experience working them? I know that Millwork, flooring, and appliances will have sales goals to be met, lumber is out bc the forklifts, and I don’t think my store is hiring for garden (if they WERE, that would be my choice in a heartbeat, because I know a lot about plants and could probably actually be very helpful there!). Does anyone here work in hardware/tools/electrical and can tell me what those departments are like? The people in my store who run those departments are all grandpa-aged old guys who have a good sense of humor and seem like they’d be nice to work with, so I’m leaning towards those 3 departments right now.

TLDR: current fulfillment worker going to change departments soon, looking for other workers’ advice/opinions on their departments so I can choose a new department to transfer into.

Update on the Lowe’s Pigeon!

The day after my fellow bird-loving coworker told me about the baby floof (which I posted earlier), I checked on them and found this cute sign he drew! Pics are of baby floof and momma pigeon, nesting in a pallet of concrete blocks at Lowe’s.

Baby floof at Lowe’s

My fellow bird-loving coworker let me know about a baby pigeon nesting in a pallet of concrete outside the lumber doors, so I of course went to go see the baby floof myself! (2nd pic shows the pallet that baby birdie is inside) Don’t worry- my coworker and I are making sure that no one disturbs this specific pallet!

It’s not 6am yet… GO AWAY🥲

Listen, I get that you might be a pro customer or whatever (the parking lot currently has multiple trucks and old white dudes standing around) but we open at 6AM. It is 5:45AM. GO AWAY🥲 (Frog sticker is to cover store #, also kinda my mood in the mornings, I’m not a morning person)

OSLG feels like a biohazard 💀

I’m a seasonal fulfillment associate, and EVERY time I get an order that requires pulling OSLG product, the sheer amount of bird shit that’s caked EVERYWHERE— on products that are both in and out of boxes, on shelves, ladders, and floors— honestly feels like a biohazard; it’s so disgusting… Pic of a cute mourning dove family for tax, I’ll spare you the shit pics, I think we all know what I mean 💩 (I like birds so I can tell most of these in the pic are juveniles, so most likely a family)

Tips for landing first job?

I am a recent graduate of a masters of music education program from a private college in NY, looking for jobs in my area. The job market isn’t as ideal as I was hoping it may be… I knew that music jobs would be a bit more rare than a non “specialized” subject area, but I’ve applied to 5 jobs and only had 1 interview, and there don’t seem to be many other job postings in the area… Do any teachers on here have advice for the job searching process? Are there specific phrases I should include in my resume/cover letters? (I know that these things are frequently screened by AI these days, which I hate). Should I apply to a local district as a sub to get my name in the district, hoping they’ll have a music job open up later, and give up on the music teaching part for now?
