Understanding rule 3
Hi all. As we all know there is a lot of NSFW content on Reddit. Lots of this gets reposted and shared around.
Last week one of my NSFW accounts got banned for violating rule 3. This is fair enough but it was unexpected since I was not aware I was doing anything wrong. I took another look at the rules and there was an exception for commercial content.
With this in mind I made another post on a different account I had (bad idea in hindsight) which also got banned for the same reason. I carefully selected the images and made sure they were okay to use. But it seems I misunderstood something.
I realize this is not the subreddit to appeal or discuss this ban. I am only looking for knowledge here.
My question is, what is and what is not allowed under these rules? With my understanding and experience all content that is not made and posted by yourself would not be allowed. And that is obviously not what is happening. Has Reddit taken more aggressive steps banning accounts recently?
