Any book recs as good as Failure to Match by Kyra Parsi?

I have a hard time finding fiction romance books that really hit the mark on MCs, plot, and spice for me. For reference, I think Failure to Match by Kyra Parsi nails all three of those areas.

Any book recs that you thought match up to this one if you read it? Preferably not the same exact concept or something too similar either.

Newly 1 year old and constantly fussy now - have you been through this?

My child before turning 1 was usually happy and content most of the day, easily playing with herself for a while or keeping entertained at home. Since turning 1 on 7/12/26 she has become increasingly fussy and discontent at home. She also wants to be held all of the time and not happy if she’s by herself long. She is teething, so I know that plays a role, but we give her stuff for that and even when it doesn’t seem like teething is the issue she’s still unhappy. We get pockets in the day at home where she’s her old self but it doesn’t seem to last long. However, when she’s out of the house she seems completely content and fine. She’s eating/drinking and napping/sleeping well too.

Did you go through something similar? What did you do or when did it let up? Looking for a light at the end of the tunnel! Thanks!

1 year old cbc - elevated eosinophil - anyone else?

We just got my daughter’s cbc results back for her 1 year old check up and the eosinophil was at 2.5 with a reference range of 0.0-0.3. Units x10E3/uL. Pediatrician didn’t seem to have much to say about it other than it’s an inflammatory marker and I can work with the other doctor in the office if I wanted to who specializes in digging deeper with inflammation causes and treatment. My daughter does have eczema and when I asked if that has anything to do with it she said that could be related.

Obviously I’m fixated on it now and wanted to know if anyone else had similar bloodwork results with their toddler. I’m looking for some peace of mind. Thanks!

1 year old calcium intake - what do you do?

Hi all! My child is newly 1 years old and the daily calcium recommendation is challenging me. Considering all forms of dairy or calcium rich foods you can give your toddler the recommended 700mg per day of calcium still seems like a high number to reach unless you’re stuffing your child with food/milk all day long. My child is constipation prone too so I don’t want to be giving a lot of dairy in one day. Are you all realistically meeting this 700mg goal every day or are you closer to a 500 maybe 600mg per day? Or are you just doing your best and getting in a well rounded diet?

As soon as baby hit 9 months she wakes up either between 2-330a or 5:30a almost every night. She wakes up with a fuss that leads into crying. We don’t do CIO, so my husband or I will go in and hold or rock her back to sleep. This sometimes takes a few tries because she will sometimes cry when transferred back to the crib and we repeat. We’ve even tried just going in and doing a shush/hand touch in the crib but she just cries harder. If she wakes up the earlier shift she will usually end up sleeping until 630-7a, but if she sleeps through the night shes almost guaranteed to wake up instead at 530a. Given the time I usually just bring her to our bed to finish off sleep until 7-730 and she will often go back down, but I do not want to be resorting to this and building that habit.

If you’re wondering, we do 2 naps that are around 1-2 hours each and wake windows are 3/3hrs10mins/3hrs15-30mins. No matter when she goes to sleep, earlier or later, we have this same wake up issue. Dark room, sound machine on, the whole nine…

She goes into her crib awake for all sleep and easily puts herself back to sleep if she wakes up every other time.

If you’ve been through this at all what helped you to stop the wake ups or get your baby sleeping until at least 630a-7a?
