I don’t normally rent a vehicle so I am completely ignorant on the policies. I tried using the search function and couldn’t find anything directly related to my questions, didn’t think my wife would take me serious when I said we could rent a full size SUV. We are heading south at the end of June and with my family (mom, uncle, sister, wife, baby, dog, and myself) I have a full-size truck (uncle mom and sister drive separately) but I was thinking it would be nice to get a larger vehicle just for the long drive. I am also planning on taking our UTV with us (4k lbs trailer fully loaded) ideally I would want a Tahoe or similar to rent with 3rd row seating. I live way out in BFE so Turo isn’t an option either.

1. Can I tow? In the fine print it says “not without our written permission” so how can I get that?

2. What is the policy on pets? I have a German Shepherd and she sheds. A lot. Is it just a cleaning fee?

Well, I am in need of some advice. I’m taking my family on vacation at the end of next month and I can’t stop thinking bout how little space I have for storage. I have a 20 trail boss with the 5.8’ bed and a tri-fold hard cover. Last year my wife, the dog, and myself filled the bed and the backseat. We recently had a baby so that means we are taking the stroller, pack and play and other associated stuff. I want to get a topper for storage reasons but I’m going to use it for a week out of the year, that’s it. I thought about the rough country bed rack but the application doesn’t seem to fit what I’m after. What are some other options? Aside from buying a Tahoe, I’m out of ideas 😅
