~180,000 miles back to 0.

I bought my 2015 Soul new in 2015. Now real previous major expenses and it’s a great car. I live in a dry climate so there is no rust and even with kids the interior is in pretty good condition . Considering the expense of even a used car we came up with an update plan. First, the radio. Replaced the stock radio with an Alpine with a rear view camera and apple car play. Second, new engine. We choose one from Fraser Engine and Transmission with a 3 year 100K warranty. Great people do deal with and very easy process. We did have to have it professionally installed for the warranty, but that’s beyond my ambition anyway. Last, new paint and remove some small cosmetic dings. which is planed sometime for the few months. The total cost is going to be around 10k but it’s essentially new and a known car.

Engine Time

Are there any other options when replacing a 2015 Kia soul base model engine? Any one try any other manufacturer engines like a suburu for example. After 180,000 miles it’s getting close to done and is just burning up catalytic converters. The recall from 2019, because I did that makes it ineligible for the other recall to replace the engine from what I have been told.

How quick to mute the TV?

When I turn on the TV in a Marriott , I can not mute the music or the little stories quick enough…it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard. Anyone else feel this way?
