Has anyone here filed VAWA while living outside the U.S. and actually gotten approved? If so, could you please share your experience and how the process went?
I want to drop the domestic violence charges against my ex-husband. I provided a lot of evidence to the police while I was angry and overwhelmed, but I still love him and I’m scared that he could go to jail. I don’t wish him any harm.
What is the best way to tell the prosecutor that I don’t want to pursue the case? Is there anything I can say or do that could help them accept an Affidavit of Non-Prosecution and possibly close the case without contradicting my previous statements or giving me subpoena?
Please help. I’m very confused about what to do.
