Wondering about crit
Ok guys. Bear with me. I know the rule of best Crit ratio being Crit DMG = Crit Rate x 2 +100. I just like to experiment and hopefully understand things. But now I'm confused.
First, look at the test team in the photos.
See, I was curious to know what something close to 100% Crit rate looked like in combat. I know I'm still 2 % off but this should be anecdoctic I think? (I promise I will re-test again if I ever get to actual 100%.) And I also have the means to do that while keeping acceptable Crit DMG (236% is not that bad, come on).
So here's my question: how does the math actually work???
Because believe it or not, the DMG is not that consistent throughout and it makes no sense to me.
Why do some Crit hits do more DMG than others? Regarding the numbers I have, do they mean every hit (minus the 2% non crits that are recognizable) should do at least 236% more dmg than what is described in the Effects Overview, and some end up doing even more if we get lucky?
Or are we being straight up robbed here? 😭
Edit : don't pay attention to the EO170 title in the picture. I just replaced an old team and forgot to rename it. 🙃
Edit 2 : uhh. Turns out I do have a 102% Crit rate team if I arm my CA pair. Stats in a comment below. I will wait for possible answers here and if needed make a study of the phenomenon tomorrow. Because anything beyond 100% Crit RATE sounds meaningless. What do the 2 extra % do?? Do they add DMG after capping?? So many questions.
