Looking for a new survival crafting game to play.

Title: It has to have at least a decent crafting system and can't be anything mainstream, as I've absolutely played all those before. The closest comparison, as far as the crafting I like, is grounded, but grounded felt a little too much like an RPG for me. Still fun but too rpgey.

Edit: A popular game is one that routinely comes up in discussions about survival games. Think: Abiotic factor, Valheim, green hell, etc.

I've started work on a true-blue survival crafting rougelight.

For the last little bit, I've been working on a true-blue survival crafter (most, if not everything, has to be by the player), rougelike, where you're on the beach of the now-abandoned Great Lakes region. You'd have to go out while the tide is low and see how far out along the beaches you can get before running back as the tide rises. It's going to be slower paced (but not a walking sim), with stylized graphics similar to the long darks but more bright colors. It has a fairly in-depth wound and illness system lying between Project Zomboid and green hell, and it is going to be a difficult game. I just want feedback and ideas.

Base location recommendations?

I'm starting a new save with a friend and im trying to think up some base locations that are large but have multiple rooms as opposed to the sports field or room in the mirror. It's more aesticaly pleasing if we can section it off without having to use cubicle walls and bridges as a roof.

I'm very lost as to what good end-game armor is, as there are so many sets that just lose me at this point. As of now, I'm rocking the Exor helmet, mystagouge arms, Exor chest, and the boinic legs.
