Decent offer, what would you do?

I travel for work and am alone. I’ve been craving some KFC. Last time was like 3 weeks ago when I got the $10 popcorn bucket. I enjoyed it. Got a side of gravy for dipping.

I see this BOGO big box meal offer. I would only order it because it seems like a good deal. This would be what I would order. Good deal?

Cheap and delicious tonight!

I haven’t had Pizza Hut in a while. I got a notification for free cheese sticks yesterday so I said what the hell, I want pizza tonight.

Large pan crust and an order of cheese sticks for 12.46 is a good deal. They turned out really well also. Both were made very well. I still enjoy the pan crust even though it’s not like when it was growing up in the 80’s.

I’m alone traveling for work, so this will feed me at least 3 meals. For about $4 a meal, this is a steal.

I was looking for pickle recommendations by browsing this sub.

I go through periods where I just like to eat a lot of pickles. Dill and spicy.

I went to my local Meijer just now with the intentions of buying Bubbies. It’s probably been 20 years since I had them.

I eat a lot of Clausen and some Grillos and store brands.

But then I ran into Don Hermann and Sons Hot and Spicy Kosher Deli Wholes. I usually buy spears but I thought what the hell and much cheaper than the bubbies.

It’s ok. It’s a bit overly salty for me and it just lacks something zingy. I don’t get spicy. Very one note.

Texture was great.

Have you tried jerky from either of these places?

I am currently staying in Adrian, MI for work. First thing I did when I got here was google “beef jerky near me” 😂.

These 2 places in Dundee, MI peaked my interest. I doubt Dundee is the only place that has these 2 stores, so I don’t think it’s local only.

Has anyone tried anything from either of these places? If so, what was your perception of it. Did you enjoy it? Or is it no good?

This weekends jerky

I have been eating Pappy Kershenstine’s jerky since I worked at a small grocery store in an even smaller town when I was in high school in the early 90’s.

I’ve always loved it. I would grab a bag and a bottle of Squirt before I left and I would snack on it in the evenings.

I really like No Man’s Land jerky. This was the first time I’ve seen dill pickle flavor. I love dill, but to me, this one is just ok. A piece here or there. Not heavy snacking.

Checkers/Rallys

I didn’t eat anything today, got out of work at 2p. Had to run to Walmart. There is a Rally’s down the road from Walmart.

Been meaning to go there. I am a healthcare traveler currently staying in Adrian, MI. I wanted something lightish. I got a BLT and small fry. BLT was $3.29. Fine with me, I love blts.

I have no complaints. Bacon was perfect. All accoutrements were appropriate. Would buy again. Well, I’m going back home 2 1/2 hrs away to the west side of the state this weekend.

It’s Rally here in Adrian. It’s Checkers 20 min away from my home. It’s in Muskegon, MI. I thought, damn, that sandwich was decent, maybe I’ll have another when I go back home. So I decided to look at the menu to see if it was different. Different items and whatnot.

Items remained nearly identical. Price was different. BLT back near my home is $1.99. $1.30 less. Hell with it, it was still delicious.

Just found these. Rony’s Market. Adrian, MI

I’m staying in Adrian MI for a while for work. Stopped into a shitty liquor store a block away from where I’m staying “Rony’s Market” and stumbled into these bad boys.

I’m excited. This stuff was delicious a long time ago when I had it.

Great Experience

I don’t go to McDonald’s or really any fast food much these days. Not just because of prices, but quality. Quality has just slipped so much these days.

I used to really enjoy the taste of McDonald cheeseburgers. They were a guilty pleasure. Unfortunately I haven’t had a good one in years.

Always cold and dry. I always ask for extra onions (I love them little guys). But every location I have been to puts like 4 or 5 pieces on. Always disappointed. Fries are always cold, soggy and half filled.

I have been working away from home for months now. I work in Adrian MI and stay there, but I live in Grand Haven MI. Today I took the 3 hr drive home.

I took an exit on the way to a town called Mason MI. Never been. I was hungry. I was just going to get a slice of pizza at Speedway, but I thought, what the hell, let’s see if their McDonalds can get it right.

I ordered a double cheeseburger and a $2 any size large fry with a side of ranch on the app.

First thing I noticed was when I pulled up to the first window where they ask if you want a receipt. The young lady had the biggest smile and was so friendly and nice.

Got to the second window. Order was ready. She also had the biggest smile. She read my order and talked about all the “goodies” in the bag. She was genuinely nice and happy. I don’t usually see that at locations I’ve visited in the past.

The food. Look at those onions! Best McDonald’s burger I’ve had in so many years. Juicy, flavorful. That McDonald’s taste you grew up with. The large fries came full and there were a bunch of fries in the bottom of the bag too. They were hot and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and salted just right.

Thank you Mason McDonald’s! What a treat. I will be back on my way back through.

What a great day!

9:30a. Just the beginning of the day watching my daughter’s High School Varsity team travel 2 and 1/2 hours away to play the #4, 13 and #1 team in the state of MI play softball.

I don’t really even buy Bing for energy. I just love the flavor. I’m a cherry fiend and this makes me happy. Tart and delicious. I love it.

Goes great with a big cooler full of drinks, fruit, homemade pasta salad and various meats and cheeses and whatnot. I am going to miss this when the season is over and she doesn’t play again 🥲.

By the way, they tied the #4 team. And beat the #13 and #1 teams in the state. So proud of these girls.

I like Taco Bell, but I go through spurts, like many other things in my life. I blame it on ADHD. I will eat there a couple times a week for a few weeks, and then not have it again for a couple 2,3,4 months.

I was looking at this box. I like chalupas and a soft taco is good. I’ve never been the biggest fan of the beefy 5 layer. I can’t describe why.

I like pico in my stuff. I haven’t thought about this before, and I haven’t seen it mentioned here myself. Maybe it’s common knowledge 🤷‍♂️

Pico add on here is 0.79 here. But if I scroll down to style and choose Fresco, it adds the pico for no charge, but then takes away cheese and sauce. But the app lets me reselect the cheeses I want but keeps the fresco pico.

1st question, have people done this, assuredly they have. 2nd question, what is the likelihood of it being fucked up, because the person making it would see Fresco and then miss the cheeses on the order?
