The final straw for my ex-wife was apparently when I started sleeping with a bunch of pickle jars on "her" side of the bed.
I've done things with pickles that only other addicts could understand; others are just disgusted.
I've been to pickle rehab three times, but I managed to smuggle pickles in every time (don't even ask how 🤢).
Now I've given up and faced the facts—it's impossible to live without pickles.

Hi! For a bit of background, I eat almost anything and enjoy most flavors, and pickles are one of my favorite things to eat!! My partner, on the other hand, has ARFID, and has always hated pickles until yesterday. We got food from a local cafe, and my meal came with the crunchiest dill pickle I’ve ever had in my life, and my partner asked for a bite. They genuinely really enjoyed it! They said the crunch was just so perfect texturally, and the flavor was great! They’ve always really enjoyed things with a vinegary flavor, but the lack of consistency in pickles texture-wise has always discouraged them from eating pickles. I was wondering what everyone’s favorite brand of pickle was so that when I do buy pickles and my partner wants a bite, I’ll have some that are texturally pleasant for them to bite into :)
Can i just use my leftover pickle juice to put some fresh cucumbers into and stick in the fridge? The pickles i been buying lately are trash

Besides the normal options you would get at the grocery store (Grillos, Claussen, Bubbies, etc.) what are some local places where you can find other brands and/or independent sellers of traditional pickles? I personally LOVE pickles, and always get jealous of other posts in the pickle Reddit that has other brands I cannot find in Nashville. For instance, Pittsburgh Pickle, Josh’s Pickles, The Pickle Guys, Kaylin + Kaylin, and so on!! You CAN order these online, but they are always expensive as hell and you have to pay shipping costs. Surely there must be some local pickle action!

I love making my own pickles but all my pickling cucumbers have been bitter this year due to the extreme heat. I spent $9 on Grillo’s and they were clearly made with bitter cucumbers. Usually I really like Grillo’s, too.
My grocery store has been out of all the Claussen varieties except for spears and sandwich slices. Worst summer for pickles ever. 😭

Just finished canning 62 jars of homemade pickles. They're my favorite pickles. Some are habanero, jalapeño and Thai chilies. My brother made some with Carolina reapers. Now I just gotta wait 6 weeks before I crack them open.
