Documenting my journey to my first Ironman. Where do I even start with vlogging?

Hey everyone,
I’ve set a massive goal for myself—I want to train for and complete a full Ironman. To keep myself accountable and hopefully inspire others, I really want to start documenting the entire journey and uploading it (probably to YouTube/TikTok).
The thing is, I’m completely new to the vlogging/content creation side of things.
Right now, my main camera is a Canon R100. I know it’s an entry-level body, but I want to make the most of it before upgrading.
Since Ironman training takes up a huge chunk of time and energy, I’d love some advice from anyone who has done this before:
How do you balance training and filming? Do you bring a camera on long runs/rides, or just shoot talking-head intros/outros and B-roll at home?
Any tips for using the Canon R100 for this type of content? (Best settings, lenses to look into for sports/vlogging, or stabilizing tricks since it lacks IBIS?)
What kind of content actually keeps people engaged? Do people want to see the gritty details of pacing, nutrition, and failure, or just the polished highlights?
Would appreciate any tips, channel recommendations for inspiration, or general advice on how to kick this off without burning out in the first month.
Thanks in advance!
