Micro wedding with 18 month old

My fiancé and I are hoping to get married this December, with a very small ceremony of just 10 guests (all close family). The local hotel we have chosen has a smaller sized ceremony room and a gorgeous private dining space, there is a local castle nearby where we will hopefully have photos.

Have a few questions for people who have done something similar or have attended a small wedding as a guest:

\- How did you time the day with such a small number of guests?
\- How did photos work? I’m not sure whether we would hire someone all day or just for a couple of hours.
\- Bit of a specific one, but did you cover food for the photographer like with a bigger wedding, and how does this work when you’re in a private dining space with only 12 people?
\- Did you have speeches or any other traditional elements?
\- Do you have any regrets about having such a small wedding?

Finally, we have a son who will be 18 months old at the time of the wedding. I want him to be there for the whole day but also worried about nap times/bed time etc and him getting cranky! Any advice on how to have a successful wedding day with a toddler?

TIA!

Casual wedding South Wales

My fiancé and I are hoping to get married in 2027.
We don’t want a huge/expensive wedding and will likely just have a small family registry office ceremony and then hoping to invite around 50 guests to a wedding reception.

Any recommendations for restaurants/bars where we could have some good food, drinks and music in the South Wales are? We live in Monmouthshire and would like to stay fairly close.

TIA!

12 month old army crawling

My son has just turned one and I’m concerned about his gross motor development. Before I say anything else, I have reached out to our health visitor (UK), but I’m yet to hear back from her.

My LO was on the later side to crawling and only started moving a few days before he turned 10 months old. He army crawls, which I understand in the UK is still classed as normal development, as he can get from A to B, but he tends to drag one arm and move the other when he moves. It’s not one particular arm, so I know it’s not a problem with one side of his body, but he doesn’t seemed to have developed the coordination part.

In the last few weeks he has started getting up onto his hands and knees, rocking back and forth and doing some kneeling play. I give him lots of things to crawl over and we bought him a play sofa for his birthday which does seem to have helped. He will pull to stand on things he can easily reach but gets really frustrated if it’s harder and this is only a recent development. He’s not cruising and just seems to have to put a lot of physical effort into doing these things, when it seems like other babies are doing it with ease.

I’m seeing lots of other babies his age and even months younger, crawling about really confidently, pulling to stand and cruising or walking. I know they all do things at their own rate, but it’s hard not to compare or feel like somethings wrong. I keep googling things and now I’m seeing things about how if they drag one side of their body, it could be a sign of autism. I guess I’m just feeling really anxious about it and wondering if there’s anything I can do.

Does anyone have any tips on how to help him progress? Or if your LO did this, was there anything wrong or did they eventually get there on their own?
