Future World progress pics

Hi! Here’s an update from my previous post, this one’s called Future (future) World and I wish I knew who actually makes it because I Love it.

This kit has been keeping very entertained. It requires a lot of detail and you can’t rush through it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a more advanced build!

When I first opened the kit and realized I had to separate the lights it felt overwhelming but it was actually an enjoyable part (see pic), also it makes sense as you continue building. The instructions are really well written too! 👏🏼

And yes, lots of cutting and gluing (and taping) which I absolutely enjoy!

Now to something more complex… Future World

I’m in the mood for something a bit more difficult so I had to bring this one to the front of the line.

I already tested and separated the lights (if you’ve built this you get it) and I think I’m going to add a battery eliminator and ditch the 3 small round battery pack it comes with.

I completed the first 2-3 steps and I’ve used more glue than that last 2 kits put together! Which is exactly what I’m looking for :)

Have you built this one? Did you enjoy it?

Street Scene (graffitied edition)

Hi! I completed Rolife’s Street Scene kit that has been in my back log for a while (I’ve completed about 20 nooks and this is my first Rolife! Ha)

I couldn’t help but to tap in to my inner graffiti writer and bombed the subway walls, I also added stickers and randomness to give the feel of a real city wall.

I added greenery to the trees to give it more depth!

This is a great kit to get creative with and feel like I could’ve done a lot more however, I got a little impatient since the custom lighting also took a while, I added yellow lighting to the side tunnel, and may do more to this section if inspiration hits.

Hope you like! On to the next!

Window of the World kit 🌎

Hi! Here’s my completed kit of Window of the World. This was a really fun build, besides the having to build floor 2 and floor 3 repeatedly lol… I definitely took a break after completing floor 2, when I realized floor 3 was the same build.

It’s neat how the lights illuminate the elevators (picture doesn’t do it justice), and the doors on floor one towards the back open and close.

It’s hard to read but the message on the back of the kit is pretty cool!

On to the next one… and this time I’m ready for a little custom creativity 😅

LED lights taking me out!

Ok I give up and I’m asking for help!!

I purchased these LED lights and the reviews said they were bright etc… but they are actually NOT bright at all. Literally can’t even tell a light is on, it only looks fluorescent when on, if I use 2 it’ll make a bit of light but ughhh I can’t figure why and am beginning to wonder if they are just faulty.

I’ve tried them with AAA, AA brand new batteries and it doesn’t change anything.

In the picture, the yellow lights look a lot brighter than they actually are in real life (and I have TWO ) and the white bright light is the one that came with this kit and ideally the brightness I want, any help is appreciated!

Anavrin - Eternal Midnight Paris just sold for over $1000

So I’ve been following this eBay auction for an unopened Eternal Midnight Paris book nook. It’s been going on since last week and just closed. I understand it was a Limited Edition and is not in production currently but I’m still surprised!

The highest bid was at $180 and in the last 60 seconds it jumped to $300-$700-$800 and finally $1026!!! 😲😲 I guess it was a good investment for whoever bought it and didn’t build it lol …

Not going to lie I did bid lol but my highest bid was $111, I was super outbid hahaha.

I wonder if anyone from this community was the winner 🤔

Window of the World 🌎

Started this kit last weekend and so far I’m really enjoying it! This kit started with the lighting installations first which was interesting but I had to trust the process, and it’s all making sense now as it comes together.

Has anyone built this kit, would love to see pics!

Diving into Atlantis

I decided to start Atlantis as my next project.

I need another nautical kit to go on my shelf that Song of the Sirens (and sea, ship theme books) is in so what better choice that this 🪼

Being only a few steps in I can already tell it’s going to be an enjoyable build! I don’t plan on customizing this one but if creativity hits you never know!

The perfect summer time build ☀️ 🤙🏼

I totally customized this summer theme book nook. The last picture shows what the original book nook design looks like. But of course, couldn’t help myself, I scratched all of that and added some fun!

Add ons:
• Boogie boards and surfboards (made them with clay and colored in the design)

• added a few beers and a Coca Cola bottle

• towel hanging over the rail (made it with clay)

• beach ball (made it w/ clay)

• added boards to the water on the side panel

And finally, this kit was missing the mirror that goes on the back so I had to order some online and glue two pieces together. It didn’t quite fit to cover the entire back side so I colored in the back wall to reflect the side panel with blue, clouds etc. so just don’t look too close lol. Even though I think it came out good.

This was the perfect theme for the summer vibes ☀️🌊

A historic building coming together on my desk. Pantheon

If you pull up images of this building and notice all the things MiniCity got right about this kit it’s impressive!

This has been an enjoyable build and I can’t wait to add the lights, which you’re able to move to reflect sunlight passing through 🤯

I built this in between completing a fully customized kit I can’t wait to share and I’m glad I did, it’s a very relaxing and entertaining build!

A Quick Zen build

This is a cute little build that I started a week ago and have been working on it on and off. I didn’t customize anything on it, and just decided to build it as is, surprisingly 😁

A perfect little palette cleanser.

It’s called Moss Lantern Harmony Garden and gives total zen vibes.

Sneak Peek - horror theme kits from Joohour! 🎈🧩

Hi guys! Here’s a sneak peek of Joohour’s upcoming releases. These are diorama style kits and not book nooks.

I know a lot of folks enjoy the horror theme kits, you can check them out at the links below.

One thing about these kits that I like is that they have just the right amount detail and don’t over do it.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this!

Rose Detective Agency 🌹 Customized

Hi guys I completed the Rose Detective Agency book nook. Here’s some of the custom changes I made and things I added:

Downstairs:
The scene of the crime and scattered evidence..
• Their seems to be newspaper pieces and a cigarette butt left behind 🤔
• On the bench, collected “evidence” a rose and a diamond
• Foot print dusted on the door step

Upstairs:
This is a busy detective trying to crack the case so here’s what their office looks like…
• There’s files upon files all over the place
• Post-it notes (bent upward like they tend to do)
• Trash bin overflowing with tossed out paper
• Cigars in an ashtray (to take the edge off)
• The family dog “Millie” in a frame and in honor of the book nook, a picture of Roses

This was my first time playing and making anything with Air Dry clay. I made the Ashtray, cigars and trash bin and just colored them once dry.

Overall I had lots of fun with it 🕵🏻‍♀️

New MiniCity releases “Patheon” and “Duomo Di Milano” have arrived :)

MiniCity released a few new nooks last week and I ordered these two “Pantheon” and “Duomo Di Milano”. These are part of The Church Series Collection. I’m not big on the church or religious design nooks but these 2 are more like architectural pieces of art imo ☺️

They’re sold as a bundle but you can also purchase them separately.

There are four different designs available in this series, the other two being “Notre-Dame Bacilica” and “St. Charles Church”.

Happy building!

Joohour Titanic release!

Hi guys, the wait is over! Joohour has re-released the Titanic Grand Staircase build “Glory of Titanic”.

This is a higher price point for them but this kit is obviously much bigger than the others so makes sense.

• 610 pieces
• 5/5 difficulty
• change light brightness

I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Are you buying it?

😊

(You can find it on Amazon)

“Houses in Instanbul” completed and lights added…

I finished this kit a few weeks ago. This kit come with no LED Lights so of course I felt the need to complicate it a bit and added some (6 in total) but I feel like the lights are way too dim. They look decent because they are plugged into battery eliminators however even with new AA batteries they are extremely dim.

I was able to hide the lights for the most part so as to blend them in with the kit but kind of gave up eventually since I couldn’t figure out the dimness.

Not sure if the lights I purchased were faulty or if I’m missing something but it’s very frustrating 😩

I’m moving on! Overall it was a fun build and I love the hot air balloons along with the other sides really. Very cute kit! I’d recommend it.

I may go back and add more to “hiding the lights” on the sides but not likely lol.

I added the clouds and the sunset on the sides :)

A few customizations for this Rose Detective Agency

I’m having lots of fun with this one and still have more file folders and paper to scatter. I’m trying to give the feel of a busy detective hard at work!

Just sharing the progress on my latest build and here’s a few of the customized additions:

Bottom:
• crime scene markers
• cigarette and newspaper clippings
• “evidence” collected at the scene (placed on the bench”
• shoe print on the step

Top:
• Roses in a frame (inspired by the name of the nook)
• Dog frame (because what respectable person doesn’t have a picture of their dog)
• lots of minela file folders that I printed and made
• some Post-It notes scattered

Playing detective

Here’s a kit many of us are familiar with and now I see why it’s so popular! I just started on it and so far it’s been an enjoyable build. I’d love to customize it but haven’t thought of how just yet…. I don’t want to change it too much since I think it’s pretty cool as is.

This makes me want some of the other detective kits.

I’d love to hear if anyone has completed it and customized it. 🕵🏻‍♀️

My first Anavrin kit.. and only because I finally scored one for cheap lol

I’ve got to say, I can’t wait to see what the hype is about! Anavrins kits are way too expensive for me to justify buying one so when I was able to get this one at a very low price I had no option but to get it!

Not sure how soon I’ll get around to it but I now have an Anavrin kit in my stash (for cheap!) lol :)

First lights mod!

Currently onto my first 4 sided build and I’m really having fun with it! It’s called “Houses in Istanbul”.

This kit doesn’t have LED lights so I’m adding some (it’s my first time adding lights to a kit)! I plan to hide them with the buildings and as much greenery as needed however I’m not sure how it’s going to go yet! lol I’m hopeful it’ll be fiiiine 🙃

• I’ve added 2 yellow ones to the museum looking side, I was able to hide them well.

• A yellow one to the top of the hot air balloon side (it makes it look like a sunset🌅) I’m going to hide it with something just haven’t decided yet.

• I’m going to add white ones to the street side and white or blue to the beach side.

I’ll keep you guys posted!

Has anyone else built this one?
