[JDM SW20] Do you have a VIN in your windshield?

I have a 1998 G-Limited (in Canada). Looking to potentially purchase an extra windshield (probably Pilkington or Fuyao, I don't know any others) in case I get more rock-chips in the future. My current windshield is a Fuyao and it is black all the way around; there's no numbers or letters anywhere except for around the Fuyao logo.

If you own a JDM RHD SW20, could you check for me if there is anywhere on your windshield for a VIN code or anything like that? It'd also be great to know what year your SW20 is. Thanks.

Spin class without the super loud music?

I have a bone deformity that makes basically most kinds of exercise impractical for me. However, I have no restrictions when riding a bicycle or doing spin-class, so I tried doing a spin class on Kingsway. The staff were professional and it was overall a nice facility (the airconditioning was really nice). However I just don't know if I appreciate the darkness, candlelit environment, and music that was so loud that I couldn't hear the instructor.

Any recommendations for a spin-class that doesnt have a nightclub vibe? I live very near to Olympic Village but I have a car and I'd be down to drive a short distance.

My 3D scanning project

Just thought I'd share for all the 3D nerds in here! Gonna start scanning this part of the SW20 using my Einstar 2 scanner. I know there are a few people out there that enjoy the "fastback" type look on the SW20. I thought I'd have a shot at designing some alternative solutions for people that want a different look on their MR2. I think it'd be very neat to use the chassis mounting holes underneath the window trim. Maybe a hinge could be positioned there.

Casual Bicycle Club in Van?

I'm a guy located in Mt. Pleasant and I've been looking for a casual group for riding bicycles in Vancouver... but practically everything I find is either an abandoned instagram account or it's women-only. I'm in my 30s.

Any recommendations? How are you supposed to find people to bike with if you aren't a woman? I have easy access to the canada line so I suppose I could even go to burnaby for rides if I wanted to.

What is this shift lever?

These parts came from the previous owner of one of my cars. They are clearly SW20 parts but I don't know who manufactured them or if they came from the same manufacturer...? Anyone recognize these?

Where do you advertise your amateur scanning service? Facebook?

I'm looking to start selling my scan services (for example, engine bays), so I made a post on Facebook marketplace. It was taken down in the same day because I was selling a service instead of an object. But I don't see Facebook going after all the 3D printing services and home cleaning services here???

Anyone else encountered this?

Generic replacement for this latch part?

I don't know the proper name for this piece of steel. But I am looking for a generic mass-produced version. I don't need it to fit any particular car, because I am custom building my own fiberglass hood and I'll just put my threaded holes wherever I deem necessary.

~⌀6.9mm (the diameter where the latch catches on to)

FB33 - functional hood vent design?

So I did a 3D scan on my friend's FB33 RX-7 because we would like to try building a fiberglass hood (epoxy type). We already discussed some "aesthetic" vent designs that we'd like to try building. But I'd also like to find some objectively helpful vent layouts too. I am a toyota guy and I don't own a RX-7 so I'm not sure what would actually be functional here.

Any 1st-gen owners here able to throw some hand drawings at me of what they would like to see in a hood?

This is all done in laser mode, 0.6mm. I started by scanning a bunch of global markers on both sides of the part. After that, I started to scan point cloud data. Later I realized that I didn't scan 100% of the markers on my part. I would like to either:

[1] somehow switch from "global markers" to "markers" as the align mode, without losing all my scanned data

[2] go back to editing the global marker file to add the remaining 5% of markers

As you can see, everything on the left side of the screen is greyed out and I dont think I am able to do anything except scan point cloud data.

Not sure how to proceed from here; any ideas?

Extra question: Can EXStar Hub directly open .asc files and add more scan data to the file? Or is the .asc for export use only?

[90159-50279] is the self-tapping screw that is holds the armrest in place for the SW20 (the 4 holes near the seats). I dont know if this partnumber has been superceded by something newer.

Is there some cheap place that I can order a 50-pack from? I dont care if its a knockoff.

I'm located in Canada.
