Mortal Shell 2 Early Access

I am planning on purchasing this game as the beta was awesome but don't understand something. Why is it important to play this single player game before it comes out?

I remember a time when early access was meant more for online multiplayer games. What is the incentive for me to play a single player game earlier? Though people have praised the game, they saw doing a second playthrough is a bit iffy. So I don't get it.

Does anyone else?

I must confess that the recent state of the confessions on this sub show that the average individual (man or woman) is sexually depressed and/or boring.

It is crazy to me how the majority of peoples confessions have to do with their sexual repression(s). Like where have all the secrets gone? Do people not go to seedy dive bars and talk to people anymore? Most confessions are just boring reiterations of the same thing: "I'm secretly naughty, but don't tell anyone." Yea you and every other person in the sub.

So, I have an actual confession. Years ago I started travelling the world and nothing that poverty was kind of the same everywhere. The poorest places in a country where the poorest places in another country. Of course children are the most affected by this and some countries do not have the funding (corruption being a big reason). So since 2009 I have been traveling to different.countries, visiting orphanages, and assisting in placing children in homes by paying the families directly. I am not made of money but in countries like Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka the dollar went very far.

I saved up money for the year and then when I travelled I usually had a large sum of money saved to do this. It isn't a forever thing, that is known, there is a contractual process that I go through for how they will receive the money and updates on the kid. What I was trying to do was bridge the gap between the affordability of adding a new child to a family. These kids need stability and someplace to grow and if it was a good family I had vetted (and it was in the best interest for the child), then I would foot the bill to bridge that gap and some extra things.

Since 2009 I have made 17 of these dealings. I receive constant updates and videos of their progress and even talk with the new guardians whenever the need arises. Not all has gone according to plan though, of the 17, four have died for some reason or the other (COVID being the last two instances).

I am not a good person, I have never tried to be a good person. I am a descent person, though. I understand that for all the intelligence and superiority we have, we still need people to suffer, and the ones that suffer the most are children. I do not want, nor can I have children of my own. One child, somewhere/anywhere, could be invaluable to the future of humanity. It isn't their fault where they were born.

That is my confession. Maybe we could step away from the sexual repression stage of this sub and get back to actual secrets???

It's ok if you loved Supergirl and it's okay if you think the movie was okay.

People can have differing opinions. I dislike James Gunn: I dislike his face, I dislike his voice, I dislike his thinking and the way he does things, I dislike James Gunn. I thought his Superman movie was alright (more Superman and less Justice Gang would've been nice and going with Ultraman instead of something else while wasting Earth 3 entirely was stupid), I did not feel the "hope" that i was promised.

The end of WoT Kara spares Krem and he is redeemed and it was just as important for Kara to be there at the end of his redemption. Gunn promised us with his big mouth, that he would do more faithful comic book adaptations but he did not, so far. I am not impressed.

However, I am glad that people are. This movie was ok to me, but if people loved it, maybe they would read some more of the comics. It gets tiring, having to see the same origins/differentiations of origins all the time. How many times have we seen Spiderman go to high school and college? How many times do we need to see Bruce's parents get murdered???

It's okay that some people give it a 9/10 and some don't. If they feel some kind of way maybe we can move on to other stories in the future because more people will know. I would love to see Kara become a Red Lantern (I'm sure a lot of men and women would too). This weird polarization of this okay movie (it is nowhere near Avengers Infinity War (best MCU movie)/Wonder Woman (to add a great female led movie) but also nowhere near Steel(lol Shaq)/Catwoman (sorry HB).

It's a middle of the road Superhero flick that can potentially get us to better stories.

If you liked the movie I'm happy for you (you like it, I love that you), but do not lie about how much the movie follows comic to try to convince people to go see it. Millie did a fine job as Supergirl, that truth should be enough.

*Spoilers* There are huge differences between the comic and the movie.

The biggest difference is in how the movie ends. In the comic Krem is locked in the Phantom Zone and is allowed to be redeemed. Supergirl, Ruthye, and Krpyto release him after his sentence and the story ends on a high note for all of them. In the movie she tells Ruthye several times not to kill him, and then ends up killing him.

The Brigands are not an alien species of men who kidnap "brides" across the galaxy in the comic, they are made up of multiple male and female alien species. Krem is not the founder of them in the comic as he is in the movie.

Krem is also not how he is in the comic. He is actually quite the coward and from the drawings is an average looking humanoid male. He convinces the Brigands and their leader to help him escape from Supergirl.

Comet is not in the movie and he is a big part of the final battle, sacrificing his life to save Kara from the Kryptonite weapons that were whooping her butt as she battled the Brigands in space. The movie lazily has the villains knowing that Kryptonians are depowered on Red and Green suns and powered by yellow suns, but have them have the battle on planet orbiting a green and yellow sun. Why??? Why would they go to a planet where they have a 50% CHANCE of killing her or getting the snot beat out of them???

Millie did a fine job as Supergirl, Rhuthye was alright, Krypto was the best boy, Lobo needs a standalone, but the movie was meh.

The entire growth and redemption of Kara into a member of the Superman family (their ideals) is thrown away in the movie. Oh and they doubled down on the Viltrumite/Krytponian story..... Why??????

*Non-spoilers* If the movie didn't release around Toy Story 5 I think it would've done better. Though I didn't enjoy the changes to the movie, I enjoy seeing Millie's progression in her acting roles. I think she did a great job with what she had. I do think if you are a fan of her you should go see the movie, but don't let bad actors tell you that the movie is like the comic. It is not. Enjoy it for what it is, not what people will convince you of for a narrative.
