I’m sure this idea has been discussed before but I really do think this is the most likely scenario.

For those who haven’t heard it yet,

Basically the idea is that the original SB was a robotic intelligent construct but when she splits herself into 3 they won’t into mechanical body, but body made from Ethereal made to resemble humans.

This was done using the power of the creator, as we can see in both Sarah and mimic ethereal’s that Ethereal can resemble humans and even inherit memories.

I think this is the most probable scenario, as we don’t really see any hints of the 3 SB being mechanical.

I don’t know if it’s been discussed enough on how crazy it is that pyrois actually has a cohesive sentence.

It’s literally the first ethereal to actually have a proper personality and this leads into so many possibilities for what he is and his connection to both the creator and the Night emissary.

I have a theory that Sunbringer didn't intend to split herself into 3 bodes but only did so to preserve her mind that had been fractured due to ptsd from her time as a Void hunter.

My best form of evidence is that each of the 3 sunbringer we see specializes in different points in time in Sunbringer's life/her personality.

You have Dracaene, who shows her love of technology, represented by a child, due to children being associated with curiosity, and probably her pre-VH. Then you have Lindverne, the leader of the military. While we don't know too much, this is probably her while she was an active VH fighting in the hollows. Finally, you have Eldreda, the one that represent her post VH role, where she was basically considered a god to people.

My bet is that they will go with a PTSD story in that her time as VH basically created each of these personas that ultimately broke her completely.

I have heard multiple different sources on this and I don’t know which one is right.

As of right now we assume all the characters they showed are playable, but I think there is also a very good possibility that some of the shown characters, I.e. storyteller and sunbringer. Could actually just be villains for the season in the same way the a 2.X teaser showed Sarah and the Exaltis.

I know that paths can exist without a aeon, we see that clearly with Veracity, Propagation, and Trailblazer. But this question has me think about how paths and Aeons relationships actually work leading to 2 prominent possibilities.

The simpler one of the 2, is that paths exist before Aeon. Being that Aeon of broader path can absorb other it would lead to the idea that anyone can be on a path but then obtain broader understanding of that path and become a aeon Absorbing that original path.

However the more fun answer is that Aeon are the one that make the paths. This leads into a separate idea of how path space works. As we know it is outside of the normal flow of time, what if all the aeon are the only aeon. Let me clarify a bit, given time is nonlinear for Aeon, that would mean that their moment of accession happed instantaneously when the universe was first created. Their “birth” is just the moment in the normal flow of time where they did ascend. This would explain why the paths exist after a Aeon is dead, as the aeon is neither dead or alive in the first place.

This assumption is supported by Fuli’s existence. As we know they will only be born at the end of the universe but still presence in the current time.

This could also mean that some aeons we know about are also not born yet. The two biggest that could be the case are Aha and Akivili. It would make sense that AHA’s ascension is cause by them selves.

While Akivili could be very well be the aeon the Trailbzer could become.
