I recently received an offer for a data analyst-type role in Securities Operations, focused mainly on forecasting and planning.

I’ve looked online but haven’t found much useful information about what the role or day-to-day work actually looks like. The job description gives me a general idea, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has worked in Securities Operations.

What is the work like, and is it a good career path for someone interested in analytics?

I recently received a contract offer through Brooksource and wanted to hear from anyone who has worked with them before. I’ve already spoken with the recruiter and gotten the general details, but I’m curious about people’s actual experience once they started the role.

How was communication with Brooksource during the contract? Were they helpful if any issues came up? Also, for those who had shorter-term contracts, was your contract extended, converted, or cut short at any point?

Just trying to get a better idea of what to expect before moving forward. Any insight would be appreciated.

I’m trying to switch from my mom’s car insurance to my own GEICO policy.

I have to pay about $100 to start my own policy, but my mom says I still need to pay my portion of her current insurance bill before I’m removed since she was already billed for this month.

My GEICO rep told me that if she removes me/the car today, her bill would be recalculated and my portion of the insurance would be removed or reduced.

So I’m confused about how that works. If I’m removed from the policy today, would her bill still show my portion since it was billed before removing me?
