Need help cutting 4 cards!
[[Mahadi, Emporium Master]] makes for an interesting bracket 3 take on Eldrazi. We rely less on traditional mana rock ramp, and more on the generation of Eldrazi Spawn & Scion tokens. You could argue this plan’s a good bit more fragile, but Mahadi rewards us with treasures equal to the number of dudes we sac.
Couple our token generation engines like [[Rapacious One]], [[Skittering Invasion]], [[Spawnbed Protector]] and a handful of other sources with [[Mana Echoes]], and our ability to cheat out multiple bombs in a turn, should we be able to draw them. Speaking of which, we have draw engines like [[Plumb the Forbidden]], [[Liliana, Dreadhorde General]], [[Tallyman of Nurgle]], [[Skullclamp]] and [[Blood for the Blood God!]], which allow us to have some pretty nasty turns once our mana engines are in place.
To close the game, we have gradual pingers in the form of [[Nadier’s Nightblade]], [[Mirkwood Bats]], [[Weftstalker Ardent]], [[Blood Artist]], [[Mayhem Devil]] and a few more analogous cards to whittle our opponents down. Additionally, we have a few big, burst-y damage options that don’t need the red zone in the form of [[Burn at the Stake]] + our tokens, [[Vicious Shadows]] + our tokens, and my favorite, a fully leveled [[Alchemist’s Talent]] with a few well timed draw spells and a way to make a bunch of mana for a storm-esque way to close out the game. Oh, and [[Revel in Riches]], but that’s easy and kinda boring.
Anyways, I need to cut 5-7 cards to make room for one or two more lands. I can already hear Reddit saying “35 lands is too few,” but given nearly a quarter of our deck is dedicated to ramp, we have another dedicated ramp engine in the command zone and we run 6 lands that tap for two mana (and Eye of Ugin, which cost reduces Eldrazi spells without tapping), the sweet spot will likely be 36-ish lands.
