SeedlessDS x Drastic
Been testing Seedless on my RGDS with GammaOS Next.
First took me a lot of time to figure how to put DS games to run on both screens. It started with both game screens on the bottom one, even with the menus going all the way up on both screens.
After made both works, still can’t put filter in both, it applies only on the bottom one. Like the top screens is being considered an external display.
As it is right now, the screen synchronization is the same as Drastic with dualstack on, like not bad but far from perfect, but I was hoping for something more as something built for dual screen devices. While playing Dragon Quest V, as both screens shows the game scenario, it shows a lot of delay from the up screen to the the bottom one.
And High Rendering 3D runs a lot worse than Drastic, with a lot more glitches here and there.
But is a promising project and the UI is a whole lot better.
GammaOS Next + iiSU
Recorded this to show some friends the RGDS (it’s in portuguese cause of this). Tried Cocoon soon as I got the console, but it was too much slow in my opinion. So I switched to iiSU and found it better in my opinion
I like to stick to a system when I find one that I like, so I keep playing my games with my saves intact.
I would love to test GammaOS Nano, with it’s improved performance, boot time, better Drastic and all the good things Gamma did on it. But I would like to keep my iiSU as frontend.. and start the console right to it, as I do now. I think it can’t be done right now, but who knows if gamma put in Nano an option like that allows it hehe
Has anyone tried Nano with iiSU/Cocoon?
I’m lovin my RGDS the way it is right now, with Gamma Next and iiSU cause I recently got it and put all the right covers and hero imagens etc.. so I’m living to play recently favorites.
But of course the new Gamma Nano is tempting to me, specially because of the performance. I’s love to play almost every DS game with High Rendering 3D on.
Right now is just a few that runs smoothly..
So I’m willing to pay for the patreon access of Nano, but I’d like to maintain my iiSU as default frontend and start the system directly to it. Is it possible? Even if this loses the fast boot time of Nano, would still possess better performance and the better Drastic version? Or the second screen dashboard for single screen consoles?
Someone knows these answers?
Thank you!
What can be done with Rocknix (visually)?
My RG DS hasn't arrived yet, but I was planning to go with GammaOS and Console Launcher to get a clean look like in this video.
However, it seems like everyone has been migrating to Rocknix lately, and it looks like an obvious upgrade. So now I’m wondering what can be done visually on Rocknix.
What dual-screen themes are available, or what can actually be customized?

Has anyone tried to share RGDS screen to a tv?
On Anbernic site it says to be possible to play on tv wirelessly. Has anyone tried?
Also, is it possible to share its image by usb ?
Few more questions bout RGDS
Is there any way to transmit audio and video through the console's USB port? Or is OTG not meant for that? If not, what can actually be done with this port besides data transfer?
Regarding the screen protectors that come with it, if I want the console to close completely (100%), the correct approach is to only apply the one for the bottom screen, right?
If I use GammaOS, can I download absolutely any emulator I want or am I stuck using Drastic for some reason?
I'm thinking that when I get mine, I'll use GammaOS + Console Launcher. However, I've been wondering... if I install Rocknix, can I use a dual-screen launcher with it too? And in that case, would I lose access to a web browser since Linux doesn't have one?
“Few” questions about RGDS
I'm selling my RG40XXV and my DSi to buy a RGDS, since I see as a valid upgrade in both ways.
But as I'm used to my RG40, I know it's limitations and capabilities.
The RGDS is a little bit stronger than it.
So here are some few questions about it's performance;
- N64 seems to perform reasonably well, I saw some videos and looks nice in comparison to the RG40
- Is Sega Saturn playable? On the RG40 I simply gave up on this system. And there's some exclusives that I'd like to play
- I found myself playing a lot of Dreamcast on the RG40, but some games are unplayable, like a vast majority of heavy racing games, or sport games as NBA 2K.. does the RGDS play this kinda of games?
- And for last, I’m willing for the GammaOS with some cool launcher, as I want to keep some Android features. Seems Cocoon is a bit less smooth than Console Launcher, right?
- Also, is it possible to download roms via browser within the RGDS itself? So no need to remove SD Card and use my PC to put some games, launchers and shaders?
- About bluetooth controllers, does the Android keep record of last controllers connected and it setups? I’m asking this cause Im used to MuOS and love it, but keeps forgetting my controllers and it’s configurations from time to time
RGDS and 3DS Fighting Games
I know it’s not a 3DS machine, but can it play something like DragonBall Extreme Butoden or Street Fighter IV?
I know fighting games are a little bit less demanding than other games, does it apply as well to the 3DS?

RGDS and fast chargers
Does RGDS got any power delivery protocol that supports fast charger?
