My Turquoise Blue Anbernic RG DS just came in the mail today and I can't even turn it on yet because I'm just so blown away at how perfectly Anbernic made this design resemble the DS Lite I had when I was a child. Unfortunately, that DS Lite broke on me and I've been wanting another one ever since. I'm glad Anbernic designed such a perfect handheld, even if it doesn't have integer scaling or 3DS emulation capability.

What can I do?

Anyone else notice this thing is getting uncontrollably hot to hold on the newest GammaOS Nano build? The outside temps are reaching 50 degrees and it’s not very fun to hold in that situation.

The Odin 3 only reaches temps like that when it’s emulating AAA PC titles or PS3/Xbox 360. Yikes!

I already have an Ayaneo pocket evo for high end emulation and game streaming. Brick hammer for gb, gbc gba, psx, snes, nes stuff.

Initially bought just for Kirbs but then used it for basically everything retro and this did not disappoint. However, EXTREMELY nightmarish setup, Rocknix was so stubborn for whatever reason and it took a whole day to set up (network not working, crashing out of nowhere, then deleting itself wtf, reflashing this and that, much more startup problems)

But it runs great now and my go-to for retros, it was worth all that pain lmao

See the banding on the top screen, capturing the horizon of DQIV? It happens on both screens, if I swap them. Seems to happen no matter the filter. I’m using Drastic. I first noticed it in DQIX when I got to Zere about two hours into the game; I can’t notice it in Stornway or between there and Angel Falls. I can’t notice it on New SMB (only tested world one). In DQIV here it’s very noticeable on the horizon. So this is a software thing I guess?

Hello there.

Someone on a previous Canvas-DS post reported to me a bug with the Canvas-DS theme. I also experienced this bug after updating Rocknix to Stable 20260801.

The bug is fairly easy to replicate and quite annoying. What happens is that after entering a game from the dual-screen theme and then exiting the game the input seems to be frozen and none of the buttons work. This means it is impossible to navigate back to play a different game or system. If you wait a couple of minutes usually the input comes back and navigation is possible again.

The culprit to this seems to be the hacky enable_theme_rgds.sh script we use to force rocknix to run in dual screen mode. Seems this happens specially on latest versions since rocknix updated wayland/sway package.

This is not Rocknix fault tho this is on the script since it is a bit of a hacky solution to force dual screen and not official.

I have found a solution over the past 2 days and have created a new release that includes the theme and also the script in case someone else is suffering the same issues.

For users who already have the theme all you have to do is replace the enable_theme_rgds.sh script or its contents. If the script fails to execute remember to run chmod +x enable_theme_rgds.sh

In order to make it easy I will also include the latest script on this post. All you have to do is copy this and replace the contents of your enable_theme_rgds.sh script with this below.
