What is your experience with dual boot?
It's sad that they didn't come up with 2 SD card slots but I know you can just use 1 SD card for booting Linux. Is there owners of RG DS that use 2 systems? I just ordered the console and want to know how people us it. Because I want DS/GBA/PS1 but I want single screen games to be played with guides on second screen which isn't possible with Linux. And at the same time I want Portmaster which isn't possible with Android. Is swapping SD cards are not annoying?
X3 in a notebook
Saw someone placing their reader inside a small notebook using magnetic ring. I don't remember who did that but if you see this - thanks for the inspo! I used M5 japanese style notebook and the cardboard piece from the retail box of Xteink. It's really comfortable to use and I can take notes too!
Games similar to this game?
[Long post]
[Device: AYN Odin 2 Mini]
[Game: Winx Club (2006) for PS2]
I hope someone plays their games instead of constantly tinkering (like me) so they could recommend me some games that are similar to this 2006 PS2 game called Winx Club. It's my favorite game from childhood (I had it on PC tho), although I was never able to finish it myself. Recently picked it up and almost finished it, which is pretty uncommon for me, I really enjoy it. It's sad that Rainbow never really funded or ordered other good Winx games, we girls are robbed!!!
So anyway, I have autism and ADHD, which is actually pretty important because I, first of all, enjoy similar experiences and afraid of new things, and second of all, seek new stimulations and have low motivation. I struggle with games that are too different from the ones that I played, also struggle with keeping up with story, quests and long engagement. And games with too many hours are hard for me too. If I can't finish a game before my hyperfix ends I will abandon it and when I would want to come back I wouldn't remember a single thing.
I guess I need more kids games? Other that this I play Ice Age 2 for PS2, which is also fun but not really colorful like I want. Colorful game with child fantasy setting would be Spyro trilogy, which I have on my Switch and probably will try later. Also I remember I loved playing Brother Bear game but it was PC only iirc. Can't think of any other colorful adventure game, that doesn't have too terrible game design.
No, I can't play any old Zelda game as it has too many items. I already struggle with keeping up in Twilight Princess. I will finish it someday and then pick up Wind Waker, I hope.
RG Slide is better than I expected (2)
So I was eyeing RG Slide for the longest time since it's release for one and only reason - the slide gimmick. Recently decided to go all in and bought it for the lowest price ever on Aliexpress CIS.
The main reason I finally decided to buy it it's because turns out that not many consoles can be good with Love and Deepspace. Other than Slide other options are Retroid Flip 2 and Ayn Thor. Maybe Anbernic RG477V too. The point is that LADS need to be played both in horizontal and vertical position, it's also doesn't have gamepad support. Regular horizontal consoles will be uncomfortable to hold vertically in story mode or events, or maybe it's just me being weird about it. And no, playing on the phone is not a thing for me - Z Flip become too hot and there's no proper way to cool it because of the second screen
Anyway, turns out Slide is great console despite me constantly reading comments how bad is it. Well it is chunky but the ergonomics are actually good??? Despite the flat back it's so comfortable to hold because of the rounder shape and the screen part lays on the fingers perfectly. Diagonal controls unexpectedly comfortable and my hands doesn't get tired.
The only downside is that the plastic is scratchy. My ring leave marks, they can be erased but it's still bad. Ordered a 3d printed case, hope it's good.
So yeah RG Slide is a perfect console for loving your Chinese gacha husbands. It's also good for some PS2, as I tried some kids games like Ice Age 2 and Madagascar (the ones I played in my childhood on PC)
Devices: RG Slide, Odin 2 Mini above, Miyoo Flip and GKD Pixel 2 on the side.
Game: Love and Deepspace
