What could cause transmission stuttering but only in cold weather?

Have a 2010 P7B. During the 10-30 degree weather we were having here in the northeast US this past winter, my car was having a torque converter code pop and the car was stuttering on occasion. Then when we stopped having days that were that cold, it completely stopped and hasn’t been an issue. Now I know the issue isn’t actually fixed and I’ve likely been lucky since then but I’m trying to work on my car and get it into better mechanical shape and figured I’d might as well address this. Any ideas on what it could be?

I work at DBU7 and the DSP I work for still has driveways banned and it seems that’s going to be the case for the future. If we can see the house from the road, we have to walk it no matter the distance. If we don’t see the house, the customer has to give us permission to leave the package by the road or we have to wait for them to come down their driveway.

Now this doesn’t really bother me that much but with dogs being a thing, how is this not making rural routes way more dangerous? If I’m walking down a half a mile long driveway and they let their dog out when I get close, there is nowhere I can run to for safety in time.

Edit: Asked my DSP if this is Amazon or company policy and they have stated it is both.
