Let them loose for a fun start to the weekend.
This camaro is from my childhood collection. Wonder if there were any other mainlines with opening parts released after this or even in the recent years.
Have been facing issues with this helmet (Axor brutale) which is suppose to be a more “premium” helmet from Axor as it costs around 8k. Their after sales is very terrible. Parts for these are not available/in-stock on their own website or sellers. And some of the plastic parts have degraded/broken on their own.
Mentioning below all issues I’m facing in detail.
The most common issue that everyone is facing with the helmet is the stupid poorly designed locking mechanism for the padding which keeps getting undone on its own while wearing/removing the helmet. Also once the padding is undone it’s a bit tedious to plug it back due to their difficult and again poorly designed mechanism.
Some plastics have degraded on their own or broken just from repeatedly placing the helmet on the table. To be specific the rear spoiler thing at the bottom slowly developed cracks over time and finally broke today due. The cracks developed just due to small bumps sometimes while placing the helmet on tables/floor or anywhere else. The plastic near the front went degraded on its own and started falling apart. Both the pinlock mount developed cracks just due to slamming the visor shut while riding. Also there is too much unnecessary plastic parts on this helmet which are bound to break eventually even after normal use.
The customer support is very terrible. After purchasing this helmet after a couple of weeks I found out from an authorised dealer for Axor in my area that a newer version of brutale is now launched with updated padding mechanism that is more secure and stays in place. Now the scummy thing Axor is doing hear is that they are replacing the older purchases (old padding which I have shown in the picture) with the newer padding ones, free of cost, without the visor but this is done only via authorised distributors and only for the people who have purchased directly from them. People who bought them from resellers like me are getting no replacements. So when I mailed their customer support requesting for a replacement, they just told me to ship the helmet to them and they’ll do the repairs. Upon telling them that there are no repairs to do as the padding design is itself faulty, they still said to send the helmet and they’ll look if any faults exist and repair them.
P.S: To anyone thinking of buying from Axor think twice especially for their premium helmets. The Axor apex series is well received has replacement parts available and good for people on a budget, but I would suggest to go for some other brand.
Finally this might sound corny, but I’ll be never buying from an Indian brand again, I thought to ditch LS2,MT or KYT as Axor is an Indian brand and I though I was supporting something good here.
