Hi all, I’m sure this is fairly small fry compared to some issues here, but Im having an issue with my M&S card relating to a transaction hold that was applied for an item that was purchased and cancelled on the same day due to an error.

The hold has been present for 10 days, despite the retailer (Apple) explaining to me that they had already refunded the payment and gave me a transaction id to confirm this with M&S.

On top of this, I made a large payment on the card today, and that amount is not showing as a payment towards the balance, but rather a payment on arrears of the outstanding pending hold, I can tell this as the outstanding pending amount shown in the app has reduced by the value of the payment, where normally it would say “payment” very clearly.

This is slightly concerning, and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced this or anything like it before? it may be that it’s nothing to be concerned about, but I’m just looking for some reassurance I suppose.
