What actually helped you feel less alone when you were struggling — and did it ever come from someone who'd been through it themselves

Hey. I've been having some really honest conversations here over the past few days about what people actually need when they're going through burnout, depression, or just feeling emotionally exhausted. I'm grateful for everyone who shared.
Something kept coming up that I want to understand better — the idea that hearing from someone who's actually been through it hits differently than any app, any therapist, or any advice from someone on the outside.

So I have one focused question this time:
Was there ever a moment where someone who had genuinely lived through something similar said or did something that actually helped — and what made it feel real instead of just someone saying the right things? And if that never happened, what stopped it?

Still no pitch, no survey, no follow-up emails. Just genuinely trying to understand what actually moves the needle for people before I build anything. Thank you to everyone who's shared so far — you're already shaping something real.

Trying to understand what burnout actually feels like from the inside — would love to hear your experience

Hey everyone. I'm exploring building something that might genuinely help people going through burnout, specifically younger people. But before I touch anything I want to understand the real experience — not the clinical definition, the actual human one.
I'm not here to pitch anything or collect survey data. I just want to hear real stories from people who've lived it.
A few questions if you're open to sharing:

When your burnout was at its worst, what did a typical day actually feel like? Not the big picture — the small daily moments.

At your lowest point, what did you wish existed that didn't? A person, a place, a tool — anything.
What did people tell you would help that actually felt hollow or useless?

I'll read every single response. No judgment here — genuinely just trying to understand before I build anything. Thank you to anyone who shares.
