5V bleed onto Arduino through I2C pins. Options?

Using 'external' 5V supply for the MCP expander, TCA multiplexer and display backpacks. Power bleeds into the Arduino through SDA/SCL and Interrupt on Pin 1. I am assuming this is the reason for weird behavior of the project when I connect. Pin 1 has internal pull-up. Arduino VCC reads 4.78V, external 5V reads 5.18V.

  1. Pls confirm to my illiterate mind this is indeed an issue.

  2. Options for solving? (Better circuit plan, MOSFET)?

Cheers,

G

$-digit LED, how best to secure to panel box, holes partly covered.

Anyone have best practice for securing these displays on the surface of ~ 3 mm thick plastic project box? Asking since the apparent screw holes are partly covered by the display itself.

Thanks in advance.

Reading ahead.

After decades of playing - realize my eyes do not travel far enough ahead when reading sheets.

And when I try to force it - they pop right back.

Any hints on tools or apps to force to read further ahead?

Cheers,
