Youth Basketball Games?
My grandson will be in town for a couple of weeks. Is there any pickup games in the area? He's 15.

Our 4yo red/blue heeler mix is attached to me. I love her but her energy and attachment exhausts me. We have a black lab and we often watch our son's 2 huskies. The healer will snarl at our lab and one of my son's dogs when they get near me. Nothing works to get it to stop.
Any ideas?
My son has a business doing fitness training with autistic kids. I'm retired and now have a fully grey beard and maybe a santa-bod.
I've looked at a few Santa schools but they are for helping people turn it into a business and many are expensive. I just want to bring a little joy in December and have some fun with it.
Thanks for any tips or sources.

Caveat is that you have to buy large quantities. Group buying with friends can make that easier.
I'm lucky to have a chest freezer and a store room that stays cool year round like a root cellar.
Some examples.
Chicken hind quarters: $0.61/lb $1.99 at Safeway. Had to buy a 40lb case.
I've bought 40 lb sacks of onions or potatoes. My wife just shakes her head but 40lbs is the same price as 12 lbs at Safeway. I'll usually take a bunch to a local homeless charity but I'm still saving money.
Dried beans, lentils, rice and sugar.
1 gallon of mustard was the same price as two small bottles. I just bought a bunch of squeeze bottles and fill it up when it's empty. I do the same with vinegar, soy sauce, vegtable oil. I do a lot of home cooking so I go through it.
10 lbs of 80% lean hamburger $4.50/ lb Safeway is $8.99 It takes a few minutes to divide and drop in the freezer.
Chef Stores are for restaurants but it open to the public. No membership or fees Not everything is cheaper. But most foods are. I hope this helps someone. .
Was driving home on a long trip with my wife and stopped at a gas station for a much needed bathroom break. Leaving I see this young guy with a quart of oil on the counter, a wrinkled dollar and change he's counting outon the counter. It didn't seem like a lot of change.
It took me a few steps to process what I saw but I turned around, grabbed all the change in my pocket (plus a bolt that I forgot was in there) and splashed the counter with it. Not sure how much it was but I'd guess $3-$6. The clerk looked at me but the young guy didn't afaik. I just spun around and left.
I'm not looking for attaboys because I'm pretty sure I did a good thing in my post bathroom euphoria. But it's nagged at me for a couple of days that what I did could be insulting if he didn't need it and I didn't ask.
