Playing while thinking about the notes (help)

I know this is very abstract, so please don’t be mean. I might need some advice.

EDIT: I am saying them in my head, not out loud. I am having issues with my brain getting off track not me speaking the note names, sorry

I noticed as I played along to tabs (Songster, so tabs + notation) I was saying the fret numbers in my head with the beat. I realized I should know my fretboard for the notes and so in an effort to memorize mine I started to do this with note names (repeating them on beat) and it works… except for the accidentals. Because accidentals are multi-syllable feels weird to play a note and think about their name at the same time? Does anyone understand what I’m saying??

Some help for my first time..!

Hello! So I am making my friend a graduation gift and it involves writing some “words of wisdom” and maybe a few doodles on some Converse high-tops. This is my first time customizing shoes, but I don’t think this will be too complex. I just want to know what kind of pen/paints y’all might recommend I use for this project in light of my simpler vision and lack of specific experience

Cross-playing?

So I’m going about really learning the note names all along my guitar’s fretboard (hoping to switch to sheet music eventually). I noticed I had a habit of repeating the tab numbers in my head when I was playing and so I’m trying to do that with notes!!

I thought of an interesting exercise idea and I wanted to see if anyone else agrees or thinks it might be beneficial. I have some novice piano knowledge, and I was considering if playing the guitar tabs on the keyboard (for which I know all the notes names) and if that would reinforce my knowledge of the fretboard (for example, I see “3” on the A string on Songsterr and play a C3 on my piano)

Thoughts..?

Where to pick up?

I’m sure you guys see so many posts like this, so apologies.

I took piano lessons from around the age of eight to early teens, I quit when the pandemic hit because I didn’t have any motivation to learn over zoom. I now have a strong desire to play the piano considering its versatility and ease of access when it comes to composition, playing sheet music, and finding pieces, however I’m unsure where to pick up.

Whenever I try to play pieces I think are my level I kind of just stumble through them and it feels really bad, but when I look up video lessons I find them teaching me things I already know (note names, intervals, major/minor scales).

Could anyone give me advice on what exercises or routines I could get into to improve my playing and possibly some tips to keep myself motivated?

If my request is too vague feel free to ask me questions! I really love music but sometimes it’s really difficult :/

▲ 1 r/GERD

(Before I begin I would like to clarify I have not been diagnosed with GERD. I suffered with severe stress-related acid reflux/indigestion a little over a year ago, leading me to undergo an endoscopy last summer, through which I received a diagnosis of Dyspepsia and was prescribed Cyproheptadine, which blessedly worked its magic and has kept noticeable attacks to maybe a few per month. I figured that this would be the most knowledgeable and highly-trafficked sub relating to acid reflux and would therefore offer me a good solution)

Starting yesterday, however (with no noticeable triggers), I had acid in my upper throat all morning and a resulting hot, scratchy, sandpaper-textured throat the rest of the afternoon and when I woke up this morning. The scratchy throat is gone now, but I have a very sickly sore throat I believe is caused by some kind of mucus response that my body is using to respond to the inflammation.

I am not super used to my symptoms being so high up in my body and need some suggestions on how to protect, soothe, and (going forward) take care of my throat

Hello! I have been meaning to buy cube letter beads—a lot of them preferably. I’m not super duper picky, but I’m easily overwhelmed by too many options (such as those presented by online shopping platforms). I would like to purchase 7mm beads, fairly priced/sourced, with a pleasant font (does anyone else find thinner/square-er fonts difficult to get behind or am I just awful lol)

If y’all could help me that would be amazing ✨
