Experiences of egg extraction after being on T
Hi all! Finally got an official T prescription at my endocrinologist today, and we also brought up freezing eggs. I was told that I would have to go off T for 3 months, and then get additional hormone injections, and then have the extraction. My doctor seemed not to know anything about trans people and couldn't answer my questions about what going off of T for 3 months would do to me physically and mentally. He also knew almost nothing about the process of extraction itself, and when I asked to have a meeting about it with a gynaecologist, he said that a meeting for questions is not done. Therefore, I am reaching out to ask if anyone has gone through this after being on T and how that experience was. I was unable to go through my previous and only gynaecological exam due to dysphoria and discomfort, so I am a bit concerned. I am also in the final year of my PhD, so I really don't want to go off T for 3 months right now if it's going to make me feel miserable, but at the same time, this entire process of going through the system to get to this point has taken 6 years, so I feel the proverbial clock ticking. I appreciate any insight at all!
