OCD medication - my behavior changes - what is your experience?

Hi,

I'm late diagnosed AuDHD, and had severe OCD for years. It was debilitating. I got in contact with my doctor and got Sertraline for the OCD.

I went up to the max dose. It has been 2 years now since I started the medication, and I barely notice any OCD now, so it's quite wonderful.

Since I've been doing better, I've started taking only half the dose. It has been almost 2 months now, and I still don't have any OCD symptoms, but now I feel something really different.

I feel like my ADHD is back on full throttle, with all my ideas. I really need to work out and run a lot to keep my mental state good, but I also get a lot of joy from running, and I feel my excitement much more now! It has also made me look back on the last 2 years, and I can actually see that my autistic traits have never been more visible in all situations. More than ever before.

Have any of you experienced something similar with Sertraline or similar drugs?

It's only after I started feeling myself in a different way that I began wondering about this. I've never had the experience that my autistic side was the main thing people noticed about me. Usually my ADHD got all the attention, especially in social situations. I've still been social the last couple of years, but not in the same way. I haven't been as outgoing, and I've been fine with being quiet and just observing, without feeling the need to share or contribute, whereas before I used to put a lot of energy into connecting with people, seeking acceptance, and reading them.
