I recently got my Dad’s copy of MK64, and upon opening the time trials, I found some crazy good times that seem fake. This is the one that stuck out to me, a 0.2 second 3lap on DK Jungle Parkway, with a fastest lap of 0.00 seconds. Now, obviously, this seems fake and impossible, so I wanted to check here to see if there’s a way this could be done. I know there is a shortcut on this course, but the current WR is 17 seconds for 3lap and 3 seconds for lap. The cartridge, as far as I can tell, is an original NTSC copy from 1996, and I have it connected to an unmodded N64. For reference, the time in the top right of the TV is a test run I did to see if there just wasn’t a record yet.

If anyone wants, I can post the time trials for other courses, since there’s some others on there which are also insanely fast.

Again, I’m taking his word for the fact that every time on here is legit, obviously some being pulled off with shortcuts. Is there any way a time this fast is possible or is it a bogus time?
