Perspective: The enemies are at the same time too strong and too weak

Women, as a general rule, hate men. Obviously there are some exceptions, and most women have some men whom they like, but that the average woman hates most men seems plainly evident to me as they rarely have any intent to conceal their opinions of us these days. The strange part is the reasoning. If you ask a woman why she hates men, you’ll probably get something about patriarchy, SA, or violence.

That a patriarchy exists in modern developed countries is absurd and usually boil down to “but the president is male” or “but a few places banned abortion” with no heed paid to the fact that the top 0.01% isn’t a representative sample of society and the average woman has it much easier in nearly every respect than the average man, but let’s just assume that at least some women genuinely believe such nonsense anyway. They believe that society is systemically built around empowering men at women’s expense.

Regarding SA and violence: if you point out that it’s unfair to judge every man for the actions of a few, you get hit with statistics on crime and talk about “not all men but always a man.” Now if you show some other statistics on crime, you’re the problem and suddenly statistics are meaningless anyway. I digress. These issues are at least real, though certainly overblown. But they still come down to the idea that men are more powerful than women, use that power to hurt women, and thus every man is a threat by default.

Feminist beliefs are often incorrect and always hurtful (funny how the gender that boasts of their enlightened feminine empathy takes sadistic joy any time a man is hurt), but at least it’s consistent, right? Women hate men because they’re weaker and feel threatened. But no! Women are just as strong as men; nay, stronger.

The same people, and I do mean the same individuals in many cases, as purportedly believe the above will turn around and tell you that men are incompetent. That women are naturally smarter, harder working, more emotionally intelligent, better leaders, better at literally everything on the fucking planet. Ackshually men are dumb and both mentally and physically weak compared to women and can’t do anything without a woman to help them ☝️🤓

So how is it that men are both responsible for systemically oppressing women, and incapable of basic life skills, at the same time? And if the patriarchy exists and puts men above women, wouldn’t women having better results in society imply that the patriarchy no longer exists? Surely if women are so much more capable than men, the patriarchy would have long since collapsed, right? Nope, instead male dominance is an unnatural paper tiger that has lasted throughout all of human history in every culture at all times and impacts every aspect of society. Unbelievable.

[Meta] Regarding straight women commenting on WANIM

We’ve had something of an uptick in the past couple weeks of straight women posting here (which is certainly allowed) and this sparking long arguments. Usually everyone behaves themselves to some extent but there are a number of cases where y’all are just bullying them.

Roughly 1/3 of women are into men at least equally as they are into women, using Camperio’s implicit attraction data. That’s a minority, thus WANIM, but given the scale of humanity it’s still a huge fucking number of people. 8.3 × 10^9 ÷ 6 ≈ 1.4 billion julietic women (edit: actually it’s way higher than that if we count women who are into men but still prefer women).

Why do I bring this up? Because it means that the women on this sub claiming to be into men have a fairly high chance of, well, being into men. Sure some of them are larping or comphet, but unless you have actual reason to believe that she individually isn’t julietic, just believe her, ok?

Now if she says something like “I’m into men therefore every straight-ID’ing woman is” or “I’m straight but women are just objectively more attractive than men” or “I’m straight but 99% of men look like the thumb people from Spy Kids” or anything like such as, yeah it’s open season for precision dunk strikes.

That’s not the same thing as saying “I’m attracted to men and here’s my perspective on [X].” We want straight women to engage (in good faith ofc) with us. Diverse perspectives are a good thing, and for the straight guys here who recognize that hope is a dangerous thing for men like them to have but they have it, understanding women better can help with finding a girlfriend who is genuinely into them.

tl;dr Some of y’all are being assholes for no reason, if a straight woman is posting in good faith you should too. Also please remember rule 2.

Btw this isn’t an official mod post, just my personal opinion.

Height obsession is proof of WANIM

For all the talk about short guys this and 6’2 Chads that, I haven’t seen anyone mention that this is itself WANIM. I’m not talking about wanting the man to be taller than her, even significantly taller, but about the fixation on numbers. The “won’t date under 6’0” type women.

The average person can’t tell the difference between 5’10 and 6’0 for example without some reference. If you can’t tell something, it logically follows that such a difference wouldn’t factor into attraction, right? So if a woman says she won’t date under 6’0 (or any other arbitrary number) that means the requirement is based on something else other than attraction.

So what does the magic number provide? Status. It’s a minority of men, it’s become culturally synonymous with tallness, and it’s been for some time now ubiquitous in descriptions of an ideal man. Stories people tell, not instinctive reactions to his appearance.

In other words, (many) women are attracted more to the labels and status a man has, and thereby provides them as the woman who surpassed her female rivals than they are to the man himself. You could even say… women are not into men.

Why androphilic men are more common than androphilic women

For women, safety is an important part of attraction due to higher risks (pregnancy, smaller size on average, etc.); they view other women as safer than men, which makes it easier for a bi woman to be attracted to a woman than to a man. Someone they know and trust too, I see often that women need to get to know someone before feeling attracted to them in any substantial way.

But for boys, we like the look of danger so we’re more likely to fall for a stranger, a player saying “I love you, at least I think I do” than a woman would be. For a gay/bi/flexible man, there is less innate resistance to feeling attraction to another man, only societal pressure.
