The past few months

Hey everyone… Its been a wild ride… 1 month before my wife was set to join me with a grow bag business at Galnut, our home and home business caught fire. Within 1 month we were able to get re-established, find a commercial spot, new temporary housing, and new purpose. We were lucky that all of our equipment in garage was untouched by fire or smoke. We lost a lot of supplies, but were able to buy more. We had help from our local community and even other suppliers like Howard at booming acres lent us a hand. Just wanted to thank all of our customers and even competitors for being supportive. Because of the circumstance it looks like we missed our entry into the renaissance faire, but expect to try again next year. They are still investigating the cause of the fire, and we were all lucky that I woke up at 4 am. It appears to possibly be the cause of a bug zapper (purchased from Amazon) on our back porch which malfunctioned and caught fire. That ignited the vinyl siding of the house, and also did not set off any fire alarms because it started outside. That worked its way up into the attic and subsequently destroyed most of the house. Now that we are up and going, we hope to find the time to post here more! Mush love from the Galnut family.

Cleaning day at Galnut [technique]

I get super paranoid about any sort of chemical or anything that isn’t food safe. We want a sterile environment but also don’t want to inhibit fungal growth. Making grow bags is a messy business. We use hot boiling water from our water boiler and rubbing alcohol to wipe down most non floor surfaces. What do you use?
