Rejected after offer…

Well. It happened! Start date was June 2nd and despite getting an onboarding letter I have now been sent a rejection letter. Image Tutor.

I think it’s a very real possibility after the spaceXai merger. My email informed me they had “shifted project priorities.”

Not to be a downer but if you got your offer recently within this month I imagine they entered a hiring freeze.

Thanks for your time all. ✌️

Post offer email timeline?

If I got my offer email a week ago, but no formal offer contract / response to questions, how long did those who got to the offer contract / background check portion take? My start date is June 2nd. I’m worried my email / offer has gotten lost.

I understand it’s common to get onboarding details shortly before starting, so I am asking about the formal offer contract / background check.

Writing because I’m seeking just a general data point / experience. I am an adult with diagnosed Asperger’s (now referred to as ASD) since I was 8. Me and my spouse (who is also on the Autism spectrum with ADHD) have had a baby, who is now a little over a year.

I understand this may seem silly but, are there any other autistic diagnosed parents on this sub? How is it with your kids?

Is your child / children also autistic?

We are reaching out with doctors for early intervention as my child is not speaking. It’s difficult because we do not “speak” as much as neurotypicals. I worry we’re inadvertently holding our son back. For example, I did not speak any words until 2 yo after therapy and intervention in school. Obviously I am monitoring my child early, but. I don’t know anyone else who may have a close experience to us.

Care to share? (I realized my initial post may have been limiting with my phrasing, please share even if you aren’t a parent! :) sorry!)
