This band was from Portland Oregon from 03-05, members of this band went on to play in It Prevails, American Me, and Ugly Colors. Not sure if anyone here will even recognize the band but I’m trying to find a higher quality version of the album artwork!
The drummer of this band went on to play in Boys Night Out on Trainwreck, the Receiving End of Sirens (still plays guitar for them) and played keyboard in Isles And Glaciers, this band deserves so much more love!
I was looking for old local bands from my area and I stumbled on the soundclick page for a band I’d never heard of from my home town, this was posted in 2004 and it’s still active and usable, you can even still download songs.
there could be a lot of really cool bands that were lost on MySpace and purevolume on here if they were smart and posted everywhere possible at the time. It seems like almost entirely small local artists on there.
The site is something else now, I think it’s mostly used for beats and instrumental songs, but all the old stuff is still there and findable too
This band isn’t great but Zarling is a really cool song, I ended up tracking down this ep after I found this haha I’ve found a few other cool bands so far too but I haven’t been able to dive in too much
Reverbnation is another old site I’ve found bands and old music on that you can still download music from and everything, but I’ve never even heard of soundclick before this which is wild
Detroit local band The Weakend was around in the mid 2000s, they played locally with bands like Chiodos Bros and Fordirelifesake, I just recently found them from a book about the Detroit hall show scene and I love their sound
