Hope for the future?

As I'm sure many of you can relate. Blue apron for many years now has taken the burden of many tasks involving dinner away from us.

Does anyone here know if there is any hope that they will bounce back from this? I was thinking of giving it a couple more weeks to see if it can recover.

If the company is just going to go under though or not be able to bounce back promptly I might have to pivot despite many years as a customer. Just looking to see if anyone has any insight on the situation?

Fief of the Chill Curse

Is Fief of the Chill Curse a closed loop? I beat the crow boss and lit the beacon, and it just looped me back to the start of the area. Am I completely done here with no other connecting paths and just go back to the area after the spurned progeny?

Save point Kasuga Finale

Is there a save point at any point in Kasuga's portion of the Finale? It's getting late here and I can't possibly do it all in one go.

Sand filter pressure gauge flickering

Hey all,

I just need a sanity check. We just had two return lines added by a pool company, who admittedly did great work.

They added new sand in the filter and put a new gauge in. I'm hearing a sort of bubbling sound and the gauge is flickering rapidly between those two small notches it is in-between in the photo.

My question: I had the pool company back out and they said that flickering on the gauge is normal. Is that accurate? Everything seems to be operating normally, I was just afraid air was trapped in the system and it would explode or something else paranoia was making me think.

Pool staying green

I need a sanity check. I got my water tested yesterday and everything was pretty much perfectly balanced and my pool was crystal clear up until 4 days ago.

When the heat wave started my pool started looking green pretty much immediately.

I have shocked it every night and have put algaecide in it. Nothing is working, it is still green to this day despite 4 days of liquid shock and a bunch of chlorine tablets in the pool.

I have a sand filter that has been running 24/7 and I backwash it every night before shocking it. I don't know how old the sand is since we just got the house.

Does anybody have any suggestions or is this normal in this bad of heat? (It's been 100 degrees 4 days in a row here)

A fun story for everyone

Here's a story for everyone.

A little backstory as soon as the heat wave hit my pool went full green and murky despite my best efforts.

In my infinite wisdom, after the storm I went to move the chlorinator thing out of being caught in the skimmer.

It flips upside down and all the chlorine pucks fall into the green murk, freshly shocked and algaecided water.

I can't do anything about it for an hour because it was still thundering outside and being near a body of water with a metal pole is not a grand idea.

It finally clears up. I go out for an hour can't find the pucks with the broom or skimmer. I had to go into the murky acid water in the middle of the night with no lights fishing with my feet in the deep end for these pucks.

I feel like I'm either going to die from whatever brain eating parasite is in there, or my skin will dissolve from the chemicals

New owner, pool nightmare

Hey all,

My wife and I recently bought a home with a pool and we are both new to owning a pool.

We had it opened this last Tuesday and still can't get the water clear. A company opened it for us to get us started, and we suspect they did next to nothing as we've had to learn a lot this past week and putting a ridiculous amount of time in.

Anyway, the question. We only have 1 functioning return at the deep end it seems( there is one in the shallow with a threaded cap the company said is not functioning) the pool pump has this one valve still closed, I assume the other 2 go to the skimmers and the main one goes to the return (as the pipe itself says return) .

Would anyone know what this 3rd closed valve would do.

We just are desperately trying to get this pool in summer ready shape, and we have learned a lot but we just can't seem to get it right despite spending all week learning the ropes.
