Considering pairing my male, have a few questions

I have a ~2-year-old male, acquired as a juvenile while I awaited defintive sexing, and I'm considering getting him a girlfriend.
However, out of the many years I've been keeping reptiles, I've never cohabed before. I wanted to address a few things before I finally pulled the trigger, just to be certain I know what I'm getting into.

For some background info, as mentioned, my ETS is a ~2-year-old male, currently inhabiting a 24x18x36 inch enclosure. I initially got him when he was a few months old and he's been isolated since, other than his interactions with me.

With that in mind, I'd appreciate some feedback regarding some concerns I have, listed out below:

Have you had much experience with introducing adults with eachother, as opposed to just keeping a family colony together? Can you say if there's an 'average' reaction?

Are there many cases where a male and a female will have irreconcilable differences, as it were?

How likely / how often do you think I would have to worry about eggs & new juvies? Should the juveniles/hatchlings be housed separately? I've no experience with breeding, and I'm curious as to whether babies are a guarnteed thing, or if it's somewhat easy to locate the eggs buried in the substrate, when the time comes.

Ideally, I'd like to find a female from a local to semi-local breeder, just in case things go terribly wrong. Is there anything else I'm missing?
