Considering pairing my male, have a few questions

I have a ~2-year-old male, acquired as a juvenile while I awaited defintive sexing, and I'm considering getting him a girlfriend.
However, out of the many years I've been keeping reptiles, I've never cohabed before. I wanted to address a few things before I finally pulled the trigger, just to be certain I know what I'm getting into.

For some background info, as mentioned, my ETS is a ~2-year-old male, currently inhabiting a 24x18x36 inch enclosure. I initially got him when he was a few months old and he's been isolated since, other than his interactions with me.

With that in mind, I'd appreciate some feedback regarding some concerns I have, listed out below:

Have you had much experience with introducing adults with eachother, as opposed to just keeping a family colony together? Can you say if there's an 'average' reaction?

Are there many cases where a male and a female will have irreconcilable differences, as it were?

How likely / how often do you think I would have to worry about eggs & new juvies? Should the juveniles/hatchlings be housed separately? I've no experience with breeding, and I'm curious as to whether babies are a guarnteed thing, or if it's somewhat easy to locate the eggs buried in the substrate, when the time comes.

Ideally, I'd like to find a female from a local to semi-local breeder, just in case things go terribly wrong. Is there anything else I'm missing?

How’s my set up? I feel like I’m missing something.

I live in SoCal and my room can get pretty warm (75-85). I just got 4 of them today and the terrarium is bioactive. The only form of ventilation is some small holes in the back but I don’t think it’s enough. I’m all ears for tips and suggestions, thank you!

Minor lip issue or overambitious excavator?

Hey everyone! I noticed a small brown spot/scab on the right side of the mouth on one of my Lamprolepis smaragdina females (Yam) recently. Before anyone worries: both Yam and her sister Taro are absolute goofballs and completely active!

  • They are not fighting at all (I am cohabbing two sisters).
  • They are far from shy or hiding. They are jumping, doing acrobatics, and running their daily reptile zoomies across the enclosure all day long!
  • They WILL jump on you if you open the enclosure for a chance to grab a snack or sleep in the pockets of your trousers
  • They have a great appetite and will basically eat anything remotely bug-shaped or fruit-related.

Parameters & Care Routine:

  • Enclosure: Bioactive 120x100x70cm Iso terrarium
  • Humidity: ~75% daytime, >90% nighttime maintained by an automated rain system with 3 fine misting nozzles running 3 times a day .
  • Temperatures: Ambient 27°C (80.6°F), basking spot up to ~45°C (113°F).
  • Water: Water bowl replaced 3 times a week.
  • Lightsource: 125w Exoterra Solar Glo UVB bulb
  • Diet: Varied diet of Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL), crickets, and recently Shelfordella tartara (Red runner roaches).
  • Supplements: Dusted every 2nd meal with Nekton Multi-Rep + extra Calcium.
  • Special Treat: Very sparingly, they get a custom smoothie mix of watermelon, mealworms, and BSFL powder which they are obsessed with!

They do like to dig around in the bio-active substrate every now and then. My current guess is either a tiny substrate particle stuck there or a minor mechanical scrape from parkouring through the setup/digging.

Has anyone seen a small lip scrape like this after digging or unpolished gymnastics? Would love to hear your thoughts while I keep a close eye on it! 👀🍉🦎

*Edit: Added more of the specs
