'No Bikes Allowed' on Exit 32 from Highway 99 to the Steveston Highway?

Hello,

I rode through Richmond for the first time recently following some community recommended routes including this Coach Powell route which seemed overall excellent.

The only strange wrinkle was that when I attempted to transition from highway 99 to the Steveston Highway, I found no fewer than 5 'no bikes allowed' signs on Exit 32 between them and nowhere else obvious for me to go. Not wanting to stop or turn around on a highway exit, I just ignored them for the rest of the exit, turned safely onto the highway and then onto Sidaway Rd and continued on my way.

You can see my crude drawing for the section of the route I was trying to follow and where I was surprised by a bunch of angry signs.

I know there has been a great deal of construction on the Steveston highway recently - did I miss a turn somewhere? What was I supposed to do here to get from Rice Mill to Sidaway?

Thanks for any help so I can prepare for next time!

Your Favourite Vancouver Metric Century Routes

Hello,

I’m trying to finish up training for my first Fondo with some more distance and I want to avoid going to and from Iona 10 times lest I go insane.

I have experience with Cypress, Seymour demo forest, the CVG, and obviously UBC and Iona, but I’m looking for a nice loop or route to get my total ride length closer to Fondo-sized.

What are your favourite Vancouver loops to cover 100km or more without exposing yourself to too much dangerous traffic

I’d be starting downtown.

Does Garibaldi (Rubble Creek) Require two separate Day Passes (one for the park, one for parking) or does the Day Pass for the park cover both?

Have a day pass for the park booked for tomorrow but confused if I messed up and need a parking pass too.

Are they separate, or the same?

RBC Gran Fondo Sunday Bike Pickup

Hello,

I've coughed up the funds to have the Fondo transport my bike back to Vancouver and have it held until Sunday but was disappointed to realize that "all bikes must be picked up by Sunday 3.30PM".

I plan to stay Saturday night in Whistler and would love to take a later bus back to Vancouver on Sunday rather than rushing back for a 3:30 deadline.

Does anyone have previous experience with Sunday pickup and the 3:30 deadline? Could I arrange to have a friend pick up my bike for me?

Are there better alternatives?

Appreciate any info. Thanks!

Breakthrough lobbies 90% Bots since 1.3.2 despite healthy population

I can't match into a single game of Breakthrough without it being 90% bots for the entire match since Tuesday.

There are 50k players online on Steam alone - there is no way the game is too dead to fill lobbies.

Personally, I have 0% interest in playing against bots and would rather wait or not play Battlefield at all.

Did something change? Can we have the ability to queue for non-bot-lobbies only, please?

Another dope item unavailable in Canada - The concept of Stüssy Canada was very exciting at first, but now we are getting shafted on availability

Models are shadowed in a much more realistic way and there seem to be far fewer cases of awkward flat and washed out lighting.

In general, it makes models feel much more grounded and lets the world blend together more naturally without losing clarity.

Even browsing the character models in the Legend Locker is a big improvement.

The previews in the patch notes looked great but this is more immediately noticeable than expected.
