What smart home gadgets are worth it for a small apartment?

I live in an apartment and I'm thinking about getting some smart home devices to make daily life easier. But living in a smaller space has forced me to be more selective. I have to think about what actually matters, what I actually use, and what is just taking up room because I feel guilty getting rid of it. Since I may move again in the future, I also want something that's easy to take with me.

For those living in small apartments, what smart home devices do you think are actually worth buying? Are there any gadgets you bought that you find yourself using regularly?

Why I ended up with two magnetic power banks instead of one do it all one

Went from one MagSafe power bank to two, here's why

I got the Baseus PicoGo AM52 a while back, mainly for short trips, think a couple days away for work or a weekend somewhere. 10,000mAh, comes with a built in USB-C cable plus a second USB-C port, so I can charge my phone and my watch charger at the same time over wired, while the wireless pad on top stays free for my AirPods. Three devices charging at once. Really comes in handy for overnight trips when I'm away from an outlet.

Then Baseus dropped the new PicoGo Air, the 5000mAh one, and honestly the thinness is what pulled me in. It's just 0.27 inches thick.

Also worth mentioning, the temp control on it is pretty solid. It doesn't get noticeably hot while charging and using it at the same time, which honestly surprised me the most.

Now I just grab whichever fits the trip. AM52 for short overnight trips, Air for daily commuting and single day outings. Anyone else running two magsafe instead of trying to find one that does it all?

Need an outdoor screen for N3 Ultimate on World Cup final night

Picked up the N3 Ultimate during Prime Day after debating it for a while.

It’s bigger and heavier than I expected, but the brightness was the real surprise. Coming from cheaper projectors, this is obviously way better, but at this price it kind of should be. Even with the discount it still wasn’t exactly cheap, hoping it lasts a long time.

Setup was pretty painless. Auto screen alignment and optical zoom saved a lot of messing around. I didn’t really know how much those features would matter before using it, but that’s probably one of the biggest differences from the cheap projectors I’ve used before. I did have one small issue connecting it to Google Home at first, but JMGO support replied pretty quickly and helped me sort it out.

Happy with it indoors so far. Now I’m tempted to bring it outside for the World Cup final, but I’m not sure how it would look around dusk. Anyone tried something similar? Also, any recommendations for an outdoor screen that’s easy to set up and under $200?
