Car starts to vibrate badly when going uphill around 75mph.

2014 Dodge Dart Aero, 1.4L DDCT automatic, ~131k miles

Basically it feels like the transmission has some gear teeth missing in certain spots when going uphill at 75mph and pressing the pedal harder feels like it vibrates more violently (not enough to crash). Seems to happen on 6th but haven’t manually tried 5th gear.

NOTE: This does not happen below this speed when going downhill or flat. Only uphill at 75mph.

I don’t mind about fixing it too much since I got the car for cheap and I already had it used for 7 years.

Hope this all makes sense. Is this more of a limitation, mild inconvenience, or a genuine safety issue? Honestly not looking to fix the issue if it’s just an inconvenience.

Any information is appreciated!

How do I remove the lever/shaft (red) to remove the neutral safety switch (blue)?

2014 Dodge Dart Aero, 1.4L, DDCT.

Trying to replace the neutral safety switch (blue), but the metal lever/shaft (red) above it feels like it is glued/welded to the plastic shaft. I am not familiar with cars other than the fundamentals of how a car works. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

How do I remove this neutral safety switch?

I removed all 3 screws and bolt but it’s not coming out it’s still really ridged like I never took the screws out. I tried to look online for documentation but found none. What am I missing?

“Engage parking brake to prevent rolling” message as well as it randomly going into park while driving or when idle for too long

2014 Dodge Dart Aero 1.4L Automatic

Good day! I am currently experiencing a frustrating issue where I get the “engage parking brake to prevent rolling” message as well as the car being stuck in park when idle for too long or when stopping randomly (though this happens rarely, but unpredictably).

The only solution for the moment is turning the car off, take the key out, open and close the door, wait 30 seconds, then start the car back up and put it into any gear other than park as soon as possible.

I’ve heard that it’s the parking brake assembly, neutral safety switch, or the transmission range sensor, or a combination of the 3. I don’t know what to believe so maybe you guys would know better? I’m hoping to avoid the mechanic shop unless there is a code they can get that can determine the part that is failing.

Any help or advice is appreciated!
