Hot take: Nu-Ultimate was disappointing

So 6160 is ending and I have to say something that I ruminated on for a while.

Nu-Ultimate was the most disappointing line ever, I was so excited for this new Ultimate Universe as the old one admittedly was not good, sure old Ultimate Spider-Man and the Maker are cool but the rest was so bad.

And Nu-Ultimate feels like it doesn’t do a lot, now don’t get me wrong cuz Ultimates, and Ultimate X-Men are PHENOMENAL, and Ultimate Spider-Man despite its shortcomings is pretty good.

The issues start with how they gloss over too much and not explore them, take for instance the Savage Lands, the Savage Lands now are an industrial hellscape and that makes for good story telling, surely you could’ve made a story where Ka-Zar or some other character could fight Roxxon and take control of the lands, but no we have none of that and Ka-Zar is killed off prematurely.

Or what about fates of characters? They mention Carol Danvers but we have no other info of where she was or if she died, same with other characters like Tyrone Johnson, or Sam Wilson, and many other characters.

They also never focus on certain characters or kill off characters people wanted, Ultimate Wolverine is the most guilty of this, killing off so many characters people wanted to see and have some interesting takes on but they feel like canon fodder, or how they recently introduced characters such as Black Knight (Dane Whitman) and Cannonball, and killed them Off unceremoniously. Now for characters that barely have focus, one major example is Thor, Thor despite being in a lot of things has ZERO focus on him or how 6160 Asgard is affected by the Maker other than the Bifrost being severed, why do we not get as much development on him?

Idk I may get hate or be accused of switching up, but I wanted this universe to be nearly perfect, but it was clear Marvel had zero faith in it despite it all and now the universe is cancelled in favor of this Midnight line, but what do you guys think?

Two Public Domain superheroes I am using for my superhero universe.

Captain Future (Andrew Bryant) of Nedor Comics and Lady Luck (Brenda Banks) of Quality Comics

- My origin for Captain Future is he is a scientist from the 45th Century who is empowered by ‘ultragamma rays’ and has to recharge his powers via the Nedor Machine

- My origin for Lady Luck is she is an Irish-American secretary at a law firm who is a vigilante and has minor luck manipulation powers

Valor, Premiere Superhero and Leader of the Paragons of Justice

Left to Right: Rodney Evans (real name Rho-Io) in his civilian identity as a history professor, his original look with the Iscarot Bands, and his ‘evolved’ state, no longer needing the bands.
