Automatic precomping in Overlord2 for Split layers?

Automatic precomping in Overlord2 for Split layers?

Hiya! I workwith tons of layers in Illustrator (just messy SVGs I get from designers) and when I want to animate them my workflow is to: group the elements together, name the groups and push them into AE with Overlord 2 using Split layers. I like the parented guide layer with all the bits and bobs under. But most of the time I end up precomping the groups in AE, so I go one by one, and sometimes I feel it takes more time than I saved by using Overlord.

Question:
Is there a way to precomp them all at once (but each group of layers in their respective precomp)? Or is my workflow broken? It's a lot of scrolling, and very often at one import I get 600 layers.
I use split layer option because very often I dont know which part of the graphic will be animated, so I want to make sure I have access to every part of the design.

Anyone recommends plugins to speed up workflow?

I saw that AEscripts has a sale now - there's ton of scripts/plugins there but I wonder - are there any you swear by that are life & workflow changing?
I do mostly explainer videos with simple 2d animations as full time job and filming & photography as a side stuff. I have classics like overlord2, aeviever, motion tools pro, motion gallery and some other stuff.
Anything else I should consider?
