Werewolf: The Apocalypse Cookbook! Were they cooking with this one?

Werewolf: The Apocalypse Cookbook! Were they cooking with this one?

Did you know that WtA 20th Anniversary Edition has a cookbook, with favorite dishes from each tribe?

Do any of you have one of the dishes? If yes, did you like it? What's the best one?

Alternatively, what other gamelines you can see having this kind of book, and which would be the best? What recipes could it have?

Edit: link with a little more information on the book

"I just don't want no trouble!" he said, before mopping the floor with everyone's faces

Chackie Jan enters the round of strangely familiar character samples.

WtA seems to take their sample characters a little more seriously than the other games regarding these kinds of references, it's the only one I found among the tribe/breed books. This one is on Hengeyokai: Shapeshifters of The East, page 178, described as a "Neighborhood Hero"!

What's keeping a Tizmisce from "getting dressed" with a Ghoul and walking during the day?

Yes, like the aliens from Independence Day.

Even with a petite vampire, they would have to be big like Mr. X or Nemesis from Resident Evil, and probably equally ugly, but I don't think the masquerade would stop them from at least trying.

Incidentally, I know there is some kind of check to be done to see if the vamp can be awake during the day, but is it so hard and unheard of leeches doing some chores at their place during the day?

Have you ever used The First Crinosborn (also known as The First Ronin) in any capacity, in a story or on a character's background?

It looks like it can be a very interesting addition, considering his status as a Boogeyman/Freddy Krueger of the Garou, and that every Tribe has at least one different story of their origin. Plus it's the only creature to have The Wyrm itself as their Patron and Totem, a feat not even Zhyzhak achieved. As a negative, the fact that it's a phenomenal adversary and it usually goes after lonely Garou seems to be a "fuck you" against lonely wolf types that do not engage with the basic game premise of a pack (I haven't seen it actually being used like that, I just can't shake the feeling when looking at their stats).

And yet, I hear very little of them being used as a character.

When we consider that no matter how many times it's killed it keeps coming back, and the fact that it's origin seems to be very hazy, the First Crinosborn could be easily used as a stand in for how the abuse perpetuated against the Crinosborn can keep spawning the same monster over and over again, and it's eventual defeat could be much more in the sense of a systemic change within the Tribes than the use of violence.

What are your thoughts on it?
